Alright Bastardly readers…share with us your personal stories or recommendations. In addition, tell me where I’m going to find hot women!!! Email us at moejackson.com@gmail.com too!

Don't stay in San Jose (with the exception of flying into there). Its ghetto as all hell. Also try to make any arrangements you can to Avoid having to get a rental car.

Obviously prostitution is legal in Costa Rica, so that a big bonus. As far as beautiful sceneary goes, you Must stay on the West coast (the east coast is poorer and has those black sand beaches that I'm not a fan of). On the West Cost, Both Manuel Antonio, and Playa Tambor are pretty nice.

Sounds like that might be just the ticket to help bond your relationship with your father. It would be a good time to get know his boyfriend too. I would say go for it but only if you are comfortable with the idea.

People ask me if i'm homophobic b/c of dad, but i'm not. he always raised me to believe that homosexuals are no different. it doesn't matter who you love, as long as it's love, and that you love the person for who they are, not what they are. he lied to me about it to my face for years, when I knew all along, and that's where the trust issue is. it hurt that he couldn't trust his only daughter to understand and accept him.

I might go to costa rica with them next time they go...

Also, what kind of nickname is 'LinJay'?! Is it Japanese?

Don't tell me your real name is Lindsay & you carry around a really long chin a la Jay Leno? Who was the creative genius that came up w/ that nick?

gl, very interesting.

So, your mom married your dad when he was gay, right? It sucks that she misread the friendship w/ a gay man as being true love (worthy of marriage) w/ a straight man. That's pretty harsh, but if that misreading didn't occur, you wouldn't be around.

I don't have a problem with homosexuals at all. I just wanted to know if it was a typo . I just wanted to clarify that.

yes...my dad's boyfriend...long story...but they've been down there together a bunch and dad raves about it every time. Dad says he's been gay his whole life, said mom knew...mom said she wouldn't have married him if she knew...duh. yeah, we have trust issues now...

Fas, Sabalito is not even on most maps. It consists of 10 houses owned by Americans and Europeans who like windsurfing and mountain biking, one church, one school through the sixth grade and a soccer field. Brian and Jackson would be pretty bored because all they can do there is wholesome stuff like hiking and windsurfing. They'd like the weed though, straight from the rainforest. If you guys travel around the whole country you'll have a lot more fun. Oh, and there are howler monkeys in the backyard but I don't think you guys are looking for monkeys.

Dude, Costa Rica is pase, go instead to Cartegena, Colombia or Barranquilla, Colombia for the REAL action. Also, avoiding "gl's" father and his boy toy are major plus'. The Carribbean coast of Colombia is way more exotic than Costa Rica which is a tropical Boulder, Colorado(fuck that shit).

haha. oh boy. let's not go off topic here!

So renting a car is not a big deal, huh? Also why does everyone write about San Jose being super ghetto?!

What about this place called Sabalito in the S. Eastern region?
