There's nothing wrong with having an accent, but most people, after living in a country for so many years, adapt to the new language and their old accent fades away; Maybe not completely, but it definitely improves. The fact that she's been living in America since she was 16 or 17 and she is now 26 and still doesn't speak fluent english--well THAT makes her stupid. She moved here at young age, and when you are still young, languages are easier to learn.

Yes, i've heard her more recent interviews. She still can't speak the language fluently and she is obviously slow. It takes her a while to answer questions and she has a confused look on her face.

Almost fluently doesn't mean you don't have an accent. When you watch Adriana interviews she always understands the questions and answers relevantly, which shows she has a good grasp of the English language.

If you are listening to Adriana speak and have problems figuring out what she is saying it would be YOUR language skills I would be more concerned about since she is not difficult to understand. Any what kind of moron has a problem listening to a woman's beautiful Portuguese accent (especially when she looks like Lima!!)...seriously..

They are talking about how even their own mother were able to learn a new language and how they speak blah blah many languages is because they are trying to feel like they are better than her. They know she is so damn hot, and they are aware of that...because of that, these people are trying to find something that they are better at than Lima. Common psychological explanation. I speak English, Turkish fluently and am learning German...so what? Also, Lima speaks perfectly fine English if you watch her recent interviews. She just has a thick accent, which is understandable, especially, if you learn a language later in life. I have been speaking English since I was 13 or so...and even I have an accent...it is not thick but it is there and no, it doesnt make me stupid or you smarter than me.

There is nothing hypocritical about pointing out the irony in you calling someone you hardly know "slow and stupid" when you still fall into the common trap of misspelling "definitely". Considering how much money and fame (not to mention social and cultural experience) she has attained via her modeling, I think most people would agree it was a smart decision for her to quit school and focus on modeling. I'm a fan of Adriana's look. What she does in her private life or how many IQ points she has is pretty much beside the point. However, she's not a dumb girl and she's kind-hearted enough to spend a lot of her money on building homes for orphaned children. And like I said, Adriana speaks three languages. So what if her English has some accent. It's still one more language than I speak and probably more than you speak too.

She speaks 3 languages almost fluently. Portuguese, Spanish and English. Give the woman a break. English is not my first language either and I'm appalled by how many native speakers can't spell a simple word like "definitely" properly. Your own grammar could use some work too from the looks of it.

Well, I've followed her career for a long time and when you browse her fan forums for new pictures, you pick up some information about her, that's natural. The really dedicated fans are the ones attending her signings. The really obsessive fans are the ones seeking her out and stalking her in person. I have done neither. Whoa! I love these pictures. They're older and like I said many times, in her older pictures she looks more natural and so beautiful. And she looks sweeter, I miss that. But Ale is super hot too, she's in no way too skinny. I don't see why she can't keep her number 1 spot this year, since Adriana won already last year. And I don't see why we can't just admit that both girls are hot physically, when that's obviously the case.
