Rihanna to Speak About Beating by Chris Brown on ‘GMA’ & Glamour

These were snapped yesterday afternoon as Rihanna left the Grammercy Hotel to catch flight out of JFK

After nearly nine months of silent soul searching, Rihanna’s using the tragedy that left her physically & emotionally battered to help pimp her album-in-progress that’s set to drop sometime next year.

The album, tentatively titled “Rated R,” has a whole host of big-dogg producers including The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, Chase & Status, Stargate, Slash, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and Akon, so I’m sure it’ll sell millions of copies once it hits the airwaves. In an upcoming interview Rihanna states that she has put everything she wanted to say for the past eight months into her music, so it’ll be very interesting to hear her take.

Anyway, let’s get back to the real juice. Rihanna will speak out about the incident between herself and Chris Brown on ABC’s “Good Morning America” with Diane Sawyer for the very first time tomorrow morning, so make sure you guys tune in.

If that wasn’t enough, Rihanna’s hitting print media, as well. In December’s issue of “Glamour,” Rihanna takes the high road—a path less traveled by Chris Brown—and talks from the point of view of a victim who’s doing her best become a better role model for her fans. Here’s an excerpt:

“My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women. I’ve put everything I wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. My new album is super fearless, which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place.” [Newsday]

I love when she's wearing clothes like normal person...

The real victims are the animals she had killed for her fur coats. Fuck this bitch.

I'd be more interested in what she would have to say about her shitty hairstyles and her career going down the shitter.

yeah, she wanna talk about it months later, just when her CD is about to come out...what a timing!

she did a nice job parlaying things into selling the album. I have nothing but respect though; I can't imagine that being the only thing I said in that situation, with Brown being such an asshole.

just because the articles says she's doing it to pimp her album doesnt mean its true. do you believe everything you read???

She's a pop star... there is always an album coming out soon or something to promote. When is she supposed to talk about? When she's 40 and no one cares anymore?

She gave off the vibe of a more private person but I guess everything goes when trying to sell albums, she has talent so she didn't really need do this, oh well

Nobody is saying that!!!! No it's not ok to beat ANYONE! I'm not blaming Rihanna, i think brown is a punk and he should have gone to jail and that the whole ting just proved once again that celebrities are trated so much differently to the average person. If a non guy had beat her he'd be in jail right now. However i dont think she should have waited until she had something to gain to talk about it.

"slapped once"??? have you even seen the pics of her after that beating?

PS: WE DO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, SHE GOT BEAT THE FUCK UP...

even if she was all up in his face, pissing him off, he is supposed to be a man, suck it up and walk away. Any guy who has to hit a girl is a fucking coward. I am the only guy in a family of girls, trust me, I know how insane women are in general... but if you are a real man, you can walk away from a confrontation just as easily. Chris Brown is a pussy, and HE should be the one getting slammed by the public... but somehow Rihanna gets all the blame.

Oh get lost with the sanctimonious bullshit. I'm a Rihanna fan, i just don't believe she should be using domestic violence to promote her new album.

Seriously what is fucking wrong with you people. Why is there so much hate for her? She did nothing wrong.

Chris Brown is a bad guy here. SHE WAS THE VICTIM.

Just because you idiots don't like the way she dresses, sings, etc. doesnt make it cool to beat her to a pulp. She wants to talk about it, let her talk about it. At least she's talking about something real in her life... or are her conversations about fashion so much more interesting.

All you haters go fuck yourselves.

Well sure, she is a victim of violence and what he did was terrible but I don't know, where i'm from it's tacky to use your sad situations for monetary gain. I believe she should talk about it and condemn domestic violence but didn't she get back with him after it happened, weren't they at diddys house together? i mean make up your mind, you either want to be with the guy who beat you senseless or you want to crucify him in the media. Nobody likes a hipocrite.

well well...she is A cunt if she uses it like that... pretending to be a victim to pimp her cd..got slapped once, big fucking deal

P.s. WE DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THERE...it might ve been her fault completely and now she is using it to her advantage, poor little sheep and of course Chris Brown is SUCH AN A HOLE and abuser and maybe he is even Jack The Ripper himself..OMG pass on the news
