Nah, I don't go off on people if they don't love the movies that I love, I mean not everyone was a 10 year old Leo obsessed little girl when Titanic came out, lmao, so not everyone has that special, magical childhood bond with it.

I wont disagree that so many things in that movie were perfectly crafted. The acting was not one of them. It is the hallmark of a James Cameron movie. He tells so much of a story through the visuals and audio of the movie and really doesnt get as much out of the actors as other directors can.

I knew that it was yours and others on this site's favorite movie, so I included the "BUT" above. I didnt want to start a huge shitstorm without being fully understood.

I somewhat disagree because I think everything about that movie was pure perfection, but then again I am biased because it's my favorite movie ever! But I agree about their chemistry, it's a joy to watch them interact.

A lot of people could of done that role better, it wasnt a very "hard" role, and it didnt require very much acting skill to convey. The movie as a whole was seriously lacking in any real dramatic acting of a serious caliber.

***BUT***

The chemistry between Kate and Leo is what redeemed that movie. Elevating it from some pulp romance movie into the blockbuster that it was/is. That chemistry has nothing to do with their acting ability, all you have to do is see them together off screen and you know that it is a natural mutual affinity.

I clued into her as a great actress with her preformance in "Heavenly Creatures". Although 2 years later I was so annoyed with her for doing Titanic, which was such a pulpy role for her.
