Hollywood’s most glamorous couple, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, were on hand at NYC’s School of Visual Arts to celebrate Angelina’s directorial debut film “In the Land of Blood and Honey.” Angie’s credited as writer & director & judging by when she’s releasing the film, it appears she’s fishing for an Oscar. Previously, she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1999 drama “Girl, Interrupted.”
Also, according to various sources, the Angelina & her film are already generating some controversy with a Croatian journalist James J. Braddock alleging that the film’s plot was lifted from an article he wrote back in 2007. I’m pretty sure Angelina & Co. will dish out some cash to make everyone happy.
Here’s more about the film:
During the Bosnian War, Danijel, a soldier fighting for the Serbs, re-encounters Ajla, a Bosnian woman who’s now a captive in the camp he oversees. Their once promising connection has become ambiguous as their motives have changed. [Source]
