Lee Hirsch’s documentary Bully is about bullying in U.S. schools, following five students who are bullied on a daily basis. Originally tagged with an “R” rating (because of swear words), the movie will open unrated in theaters on Friday in selected theaters in Los Angeles and New York. For more info, visit the Bully official website.

The documentary follows students from schools in Georgia, Iowa, Texas, Mississippi and Oklahoma during the school year from 2009 to 2010; it also follows the students’ families. The film’s particular focus is on the deaths of Tyler Long and Ty Smalley, victims of bullying who took their own lives. [Wiki]
