The 27th Annual Imagen Awards Gala took place over the weekend at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. These awards honor the achievements of Latinos in the entertainment industry. Amongst the winners were Girl in Progress, winning the Best Feature Film and Best Director, and Lou Diamond Phillips and Gina Rodriguez winning Best Actor and Best Actress for their roles in Filly Brown. Alexa Vega won for Best Actress/Television while Bella Thorne won for Best Young Actress/Television for Disney’s Shake It Up.
