It seems like the drumbeats have beating for ages in the lead-up to the BIG Primetime Oprah-Rihanna interview. The latest clips show the pop singer fighting back tears as she confesses her love for Brown. Brown, according to Rihanna, is in a new relationship, while she is single (and apparently still pining for the man who beat her up back in 2009).
It’s hard not to feel for Rihanna, no matter what you think of her obvious emotional issues are with Brown. It’s also hard not to see the clear disdain and embarrassment Oprah feels for Rihanna’s professed love for Brown. You just know she wants to slap some sense into Rihanna. Maybe that’ll be the follow-up: “Rihanna reveals what she learned from loving her abuser.”
