Chevy Chase DOES NOT Think Louis CK Is Funny

Sometimes I wonder if Chevy Chase single-handedly works to undermine his fellow comedians. After his famous remarks that “women aren’t funny” (guess he never saw I Love Lucy . . . or Mary Tyler Moore . . . or The Tracey Ullman Show . . . or Murphy Brown . . . or Will & Grace . . . or (well, you get the point)), he’s now back on the march against FUNNY by declaring that he doesn’t find comedian and actor Louis C.K. funny. C.K. is, as you might have heard,the golden boy of stand-up comedy, and inspires legions of fans unlike any other modern stand-up (maybe Kathy Griffin is on par in terms of popularity – and gasp! she’s a woman!!). Here’s what Chevy Chase told the Huffingtonpost UK recently:

“Yes, I’ve seen Louis C.K. I wouldn’t in any way make a degrading remark about Louis C.K., but the question is do I think anyone is funny? And the answer is not too many people. He might fit right in there.”

Funny, Chevy, we might find a few billion people who feel the same way about you. He also spends the interview lamenting the fact that he passed on Forrest Gump. Stupid is as stupid does, Chevy: and not being able to laugh at Louis C.K., Ricky Gervais, or Tina Fey is MIGHTY stupid.
