The 2012 British Fashion Awards went down last night (Nov. 27) at the Savoy in London. For a complete list of the winners, hit the award show’s official website.
Apologies in advance for force-feeding into this batch VS model Cara Delevingne, whom we most recently saw on the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show earlier this month. She’s supposed to be a natural hottie, but for some reason didn’t photograph well this evening. I feel like if she put on like 5-10 pounds, it would do her wonders from a hotness standpoint.
My personal favorites from the lineup are Gemma Arterton & Alice Dellal. Gemma b/c she’s a natural stunner & Alice simply b/c she has freaky-sexy written all over her. For a full review of everyone in attendance, make sure you check the British Fashion Awards 2012 category.
Her dress is fairly forgettable, but whoever did Lily Collins’ hair & makeup deserves major props. Simple & sexy always does the trick.
For those of you who don’t know, Lily is singer Phil Collins’ 24-year-old daughter. The only thing Lily needs to worry about is finding a more masculine boyfriend. I’m sorry, but this Campbell Brown Bower dude is doing an excellent job in channeling his inner lesbian. It’s very sad, but I guess metrosexual dudes is the popular way to go among chicks these days.
Compared to everyone else in attendance Delilah definitely had the most elaborate dress, but at the same time, she dressed the parts perfectly. For those of you who don’t know much about the 22-year-old British singer-songwriter, check it below:
Paloma Ayana Stoecker (born 23 September 1990), who records under the mononym Delilah, is a British singer-songwriter currently signed to Atlantic Records. In 2011, she collaborated with Chase & Status on the single “Time”. Her first solo song “Go”, was officially released on 25 September 2011, whilst previously being available for digital download. Her debut album From the Roots Up was released on 30 July 2012.
Stoecker cites that her album debut From the Roots Up, is influenced by the contemporary music scene, with genres ranging from dub, dubstep, acoustic and drum & bass. On describing her sound the singer says her music is dark, soulful, melodic pop. Stoeckers debut album, From the Roots Up was released on 30 July 2012. The record features production from Syience, Balistiq and Hyperdub label signee LV. Stoecker also serves as a co-producer on the album. She announced that her fourth single from the album will be a cover of Minnie Riperton’s “Inside My Love”.[Source]
I’m always up in the air about Rita Ora, so I figured I’d leave it up to you guys to make the final call.
From far, she looks great, but I think that’s mainly because the only think you can see is her rack, which she either has pushed up or upgraded. When you see the HQ image, you can tell her makeup is done very well b/c it doesn’t look like she caked it on, but I’m still not diggin’ the contrast between the dark eyebrows & dirty blonde hair.
Also, as I’ve stated previously, I still can’t believe she’s dating Rob Kardashian of all people. I think it’s safe to say that she can do much-much better, especially for her level of fame.
Produced by & starring the one & only Brad Pitt, “Killing Them Softly” is the latest film by director Andrew Dominik. The film, which already has a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is based on the 1974 novel “Cogan’s Trade” by George V. Higgins. It will hit theaters starting Friday, so make sure you bastards don’t miss this bad boy! Definitely sounds like a winner.
Besides Brad Pitt, the deep cast also features Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, and Richard Jenkins. The story revolves around a “professional enforcer Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high-stakes, mob-protected poker game.” (Wiki)
Directly below is some red carpet footage of Brad Pitt workin’ the crowds at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this spring where the film first premiered. Director Andrew Dominik & Ray Liotta also get interviewed in the same clip.
Following the big Thanksgiving fight for Nahla, both parties filed restraining orders against each other, but judging by the photos, I think Gabriel Aubry will win this latest battle. The guy seriously looks like he got ass raped in the face by Olivier Martinez’s fist.
If Halle Berry can stand by the side & watch her baby-daddy get beat up so badly, it kinda tells us a little about what kind of person we’re dealing with. No father, regardless of his inherent douchebagness, deserves to get beaten up for wanting to see his daughter on Thanksgiving. It’s really sad.
The photos of Gabriel Aubry are from Los Angeles Superior Court & the photo Olivier Martinez was snapped earlier today as the French actor was seen visiting Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills to get his hand checked out.
These latest photos off the set of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” the second film in the popular series, were snapped yesterday in Maui, Hawaii. The ultra-fit star of the series Jennifer Lawrence can be seen filming an action sequence in the ocean.
I gotta admit, this chick definitely looks the part & judging by all the stunts in the film, she’s definitely earning the reported $10 million she’s bagging for the role. She earned only $500K for the film, which went on to make nearly $700 million at the box-office, so she more than deserves the $9.5 million raise.
Supermodel mommy Doutzen Kroes & husband DJ Sunnery James were the hot & fashionable couple at the “Killing Them Softly” premiere held last night at the SVA Theatre in NYC. While it’s difficult for somebody like Doutzen to look bad, we’re still not happy about the pant-suit trend creeping onto Hollywood premieres. Where’s the love, Doutzen?
With respect to the film, I’m hearing a lot of great buzz about this gangster flick from writer & director Andrew Dominik! Aside from Brad Pitt, the cast also includes Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins, with James Gandolfini, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella, and Sam Shepard. Here’s some plot juice:
Adapted from George V. Higgins’ novel and set in New Orleans, Killing Them Softly follows professional enforcer Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high-stakes, mob-protected poker game.
