“The Joshua Micheal Stern-directed movie is currently in post-production, and will close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.”[THR]
So even if Two and a Half Men is filth (as some of its underage stars would have us believe), Ashton Kutcher still has a few innings left as a movie star, at least if we believe the building hype around his upcoming jOBS in which he plays (obviously) Steve Jobs. The film has been selected to close the Sundance Film Festival next year and has found a Canadian distributor in Remstar Films, which probably means it will find its way to the prestigious Toronto Film Festival next year as well.
As for Kutcher’s performance, it remains to be seen if he can fully shed his man-boy/stoner persona and make us believe that he’s one of the most influential and innovative entrepreneurs of all time. (Or, failing that, that he’s more than just Demi Moore’s former boy toy husband).
