Get Ready to Say Goodbye to “The Office”

The-Office-Season-9-Premiere-New-Guys-9

“[It's] the beginning of the end when we start to see what’s going on with this documentary – you’ll see behind the scenes and who’s involved.”[THR]

We’ve known since last year that this will be the final season of NBC’s much-beloved The Office. We’ve already bid adieu to Michael Scott, but how will we say farewell to Jim, Pam, Dwight, Andy, and the rest of our favorite underachievers?

According to a new interview with the show’s executive producer Greg Daniels, here’s what’s in store:

1) We will at last finally discover who (or what) was doing all the interviews the last nine years. This apparently will happen before the last episode.

2) Someone will get the ax. They’re not saying who exactly (don’t be so eager to rush to can Meredith!) but according to Daniels, “Someone is fired. There’s drama, and someone has to pay for it.” If it’s drama, it has to be Dwight.

3) Michael Scott will not be coming back for the final episode. At least not yet. Says Daniels: “This season is the goodbye the rest of the show gets to have. At the moment, we don’t have any plans for him to come back.”

Will you be tuning in for the last episode when it airs in May? Are you sad to see the show end? Or is it time to say farewell?

Tell us. (But don’t fax us).

I watched a few episodes after Steve Carrell left, but it wasn't the same so I stopped.
