“Bucari’s film company says the film focuses on a 13-year-old boy with mental illness and a fear of his parents after the shooting.”[HP]
Here’s one you can file under waaaaaay too soon and waaaaaaay too tone deaf to be taken seriously. A director named Jonathan Bucari (who?) is reportedly in the pre-development stage of a movie about the Newtown school massacre which left 20 children and six adults dead.
According to the scant details available on the so-called “project”, the movie will be about a 13-year-old boy suffering from violent delusions in the wake of the shooting. Bucari, whose IMDB page lists only completed film, is opting to shoot the movie in Ridgefield, CT because ” it looks like Newtown and he didn’t want to upset Newtown residents so soon after the killings.”
I’m guessing he doesn’t quite understand what is truly upsetting about this whole situation. Sigh.View All Photos ›
