“The comedy from Raising Hope‘s Greg Garcia centers on a meek, unassuming fast-food worker who decides to become a super hero.”[THR]
CBS has hired Rupert Grint of Ron Weasley fame to star in its new sitcom unveiled for pilot season, Super Clyde. According to the show’s creator, the premise centers on a meek young man named Clyde who collects a lot of comic books and secretly wishes he were a hero. Unfortunately, he suffers from both agoraphobia and anxiety and never leaves his house except to buy the newest Spider-Man. Then, when his uncle leaves him a $100,000 inheritance, he decides that he will wield his new financial prowess by rewarding those who do good.
Methinks that even if the show does go on to get picked up, it will still be called “Harry Potter and the Sitcom That Got Ron Top Billing.”
