This one made us smile, if for no other reason than that there’s precious little good news coming from the Jackson family these days. Janet Jackson is (drumroll please) married!
Yes, it’s confirmed. Jackson and her billionaire-singer fiancé Wissam Al Mana exchanged vows in a private ceremony last year. The couple’s official statement read as follows:
“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy.”
It may not have the circus freak appeal of the Michael Jackson-Lisa Marie wedding, but they seem genuinely happy, so mazel tov and mubarak to both!
