Sure, Ben Affleck ditched his beard the day after the Oscars, but he’s just one dude and the beard trend still remains strong. I gotta admit, one thing going for beards is that it makes carrying on the somewhat homeless look a little easier and when wives, girlfriends & mistresses question the fashion choice, just reference George Clooney & Hugh Jackman. “Honey, it’s the in thing. Don’t you love it?”

Some men look better with facial hair, it really depends. And then some men can't really grow great thick beards, they have sparse patchy ones. In those cases it's better to shave. Also I hate beards that look like pubic hair.
