“Bill Clinton famously loved the first film and actually met the cast during production on part two.” [HuffPost]
The epic tale of male bonding and Vegas shenanigans come to a close with The Hangover III which releases this month, but there are quite a few things you don’t know about the original movie’s development.
For one, did you know that the role of lovably quirky Alan was offered to Jonah Hill, Jake Gyllenhaal and Thomas Hayden Church? Or that Lindsay Lohan was considered for the part that eventually went to Heather Graham but she was deemed “too young” by the director? And apparently Jack Black and Paul Rudd both thought they were too cool for The Hangover and said no straight away.
Also, Galifiankis begged the director to cut the shot of Alan receiving fellatio from an elderly woman in an elevator during the ending credits of the first movie. Todd Phillips kept it in, much to Galifianakis’s dismay.
