They’re both beloved, they’re both ridiculously talented, and now they’re both going to share screen space in Rob Marshall’s next movie musical.
Meryl Streep (The Legend) and Johnny Depp (The Icon) have been cast to play supporting roles opposite James Corden’s lead in Disney’s upcoming screen adaptation of Into the Woods. Depp will be playing the “hungry and sexy vicissitude of the fairy tale Wolf” while Streep will play the Witch who sets the story in motion.
