“Depp, co-star Armie Hammer, director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer have accused critics of writing their negative reviews long before the film was ever released.”[HuffPo]

Is this a classic case of sour grapes and denial . . . or was he really victimized by film critics with an agenda?

The Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer tells Yahoo UK that critics were always out to trash the film, from the moment its production troubles began to surface:

“While we were making it we knew people were gunning for it,” Hammer affirms. “I think it was the popular thing when the movie hit rocky terrain they jumped on the bandwagon to try and bash it. They tried to do the same thing with to World War Z,it didn’t work, the movie was successful. Instead, they decided to slit the jugular of our movie.”

Well, he does have a point about World War Z. Everyone was expecting it to die pretty hard at the box-office. But is Hammer right? Were the reviews just plain wrong and biased?

It was over when Depp took the Tonto role and they showed him in warpaint with a dead bird on his head, and they gave the title role to a non-entity like Armie Hammer.

I agree with stephen on the lone ranger.

But recently the critics have tried to sabotage films.

But the reviews for Ranger were insanely harsh.

The lone ranger killed the lone ranger.

It is an unremitting piece of caca.
