The fact that the film’s marketing team allowed Tara Reid to walk the red carpet is very telling of the fact that they’re trying to cast the widest net possible in their promotional efforts. “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” is a new French science fiction action film (I think that’s the first time I’ve written those words in that order) written and directed by Luc Besson and based on the French science fiction comics series “Valérian and Laureline”, written by Pierre Christin and illustrated by Jean-Claude Mézières.

The film extensive cast includes Dane DeHaan as Valerian and Cara Delevingne as Laureline, with Clive Owen, Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, Herbie Hancock, Kris Wu and Rutger Hauer in supporting roles. Here’s more about the film:

A dark force threatens Alpha, a vast metropolis and home to species from a thousand planets. Special operatives Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe. Source

Priyanka Chopra & Adam Devine Film A Funny Scene From Their New Movie

If you thought Priyanka Chopra was going to simply fade away following her film debut appearance in the “Baywatch” reboot film, think again. The Bollywood-turned-Hollywood A-lister’s star continues to shine brightly as she has quickly turned her attention to her latest film “Isn’t It Romantic,” which also stars Rebel Wilson, Adam Levine, Betty Gilpin, and Liam Hemsworth. According to IMDb, the film, which hits theaters sometime in 2019, centers around “A young woman disenchanted with love [who] mysteriously finds herself trapped inside a romantic comedy.”

These photos were snapped earlier today as Priyanka Chopra and Adam Devine filming an amusing scene on location in NYC’s Central Park. Aaah, I really miss NYC!!

Tom Cruise With His Co-Star Ladies at ‘The Mummy’ Screening in NYC

I’m curious to know if chicks still bother hitting on Tom Cruise after all that has happened to him over the past decade. He just seems like a total weirdo, but hey, he still has a net worth of around $470 million! Let’s face it, chicks—especially in L.A.—will line up to get a piece of Tom!

As for the two ladies sandwiching Tom in the photos, Annabelle Wallis and Sofia Boutella are two of his co-stars from his latest film “The Mummy,” which hit theaters this weekend. The film is getting slapped around by critics, so it will be interesting to see how it performs at the box-office. Tom Cruise, believe it or not, is still a fairly bankable actor at the age of 54, which is pretty shocking when you consider his sullied reputation as a staunch Scientologist. Check out a few of the review below:

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 29% based on 56 reviews, with an average rating of 4.8/10. The site’s critical consensus reads, “Lacking the campy fun of the franchise’s most recent entries and failing to deliver many monster-movie thrills, The Mummy suggests a speedy unraveling for the Dark Universe.”[39] On Metacritic the film has a score 38 out of 100, based on 27 critics, indicating “generally unfavorable reviews”.

Vince Mancini of Uproxx gave the film a negative review, writing: “If you like incomprehensible collections of things that vaguely resemble other things you might’ve enjoyed in the past, The Mummy is the movie for you.”[41] IndieWire’s David Ehrlich gave the film a D-, calling it the worst film of Cruise’s career and criticizing its lack of originality, saying: “It’s one thing to excavate the iconography of old Hollywood, it’s another to exploit it. This isn’t filmmaking, it’s tomb-raiding.”

Owen Gleiberman of Variety wrote: “The problem at its heart is that the reality of what the movie is — a Tom Cruise vehicle — is at war with the material. The actor, at 54, is still playing that old Cruise trope, the selfish cocky semi-scoundrel who has to grow up. … The trouble is that Cruise, at least in a high-powered potboiler like this one, is so devoted to maintaining his image as a clear and wholesome hero that his flirtation with the dark side is almost entirely theoretical.” [Source]

Alexandra Daddario Spices Up The “Baywatch” Photocall in Berlin

I think it’s safe to say that the “Baywatch” reboot film is really getting the A-list treatment from a promotional standpoint. From its A-list cast to the multiple premieres, the film’s producers appear to be very confident about the new action comedy starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, and Ilfenesh Hadera. This is despite the fact that the critics panned the film following its release last week. For the record, it has a 19% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Here’s how Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers saw the film:

“Think of yourself sitting down for a big two-hour wallow in instant stupid with a vat of popcorn, slathered in fake butter and possibly a mound of melted M&Ms on top. It feels great chugging it down, then your stomach hurts, your head aches and you puke the whole thing up so you can forget about it in the morning. That’s Baywatch in a nutshell.”

These latest photos were snapped yesterday at a photocall held in Berlin. As some of you guys might know, the Germans are absolutely obsessed with David Hasselhoff, so a big promotional event for a film in which The Hoff makes a brief cameo was only natural.

As we noted yesterday in the Priyanka post, the “Baywatch” reboot film starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron is set for release later this month on May 25. As expected, the film the sexier stars will be working overtime as they travel around the country promoting the film by doing interviews and red carpet premieres. It seems like they’ll really push this film, especially when you consider the heavy-hitting names in its cast.

These latest photos were snapped earlier today as Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra were spotted doing interviews on the beach in Miami (it was for “Despierto America”—watch the clip here). Here are stock interviews of both ladies chatting about their filming experience:

We rarely see Zoe Salanda out & about with Italian artist husband Marco Perego, but the couple were all smiles as they attended the premiere of Zoe’s latest film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, which officially hits theaters on May 5, 2017. The couple left their twin two-year-old boys with the nannies and decided to enjoy the premiere as a date night. Even though Marco Perego decided to take take Zoe’s last name following their nuptials, he definitely gets a sweet deal from an A-list Hollywood lifestyle standpoint!

Here’s an interview w/ Zoe on the red carpet:

Here are a few more favorites from the big “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2” premiere held last night at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Anyway, here’s more about the film, followed by the trailer:

Rosario Dawson and Others At The ‘Unforgettable’ Premiere in Hollywood

We should mention that Katherine Heigl is also in the film, but we chose instead to highlight Rosario Dawson’s appearance on the red carpet. It shouldn’t come as a complete surprise that the film’s producers hired Katherine Heigl to play the role of a vindictive ex-wife looking to ruin the life of her ex-husband and his new wife. It’s nice to see that she’s cashing in on the fact that everyone hates her.

Here’s more about the film’s plot:

Tessa Connover (Katherine Heigl) is barely coping with the end of her marriage when her ex-husband, David, becomes happily engaged to Julia (Rosario Dawson). Trying to settle into her new role as a wife and a stepmother, Julia believes she has finally met the man of her dreams, the man who can help her put her own troubled past behind her. Tessa’s jealousy takes a pathological turn, and she will stop at nothing to turn Julia’s dream into the ultimate nightmare. Source

“Colossal,” a new sci-fi comedy flick, initially screened at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival last September, but will finally go into wide-release later this weekend. The film, which is written & directed by Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo, stars Anne Hathaway, Jason Sudeikis, and Simon Pegg. Here’s more about the film’s somewhat odd plot:

After losing her job and boyfriend in New York, Gloria (Anne Hathaway) moves back to her hometown only to discover how strangely connected she is to an enormous Kaiju attacking Seoul, South Korea. Source

If you’re curious about reviews, the film received a very favorable response when it screened at TIFF. Here’s a snippet from the film’s Wiki:

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 76% based on 50 reviews, with an average rating of 6.7/10. The site’s critical consensus consensus reads, “Colossal’s singular strangeness can be disorienting, but viewers who hang on may find that its genre-defying execution — and Anne Hathaway’s performance — is well worth the ride.”[16] On Metacritic, the film has a score of 59 out of 100, based on 14 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews”.
