Actress Elle Fanning gave the army of photos from around the globe exactly what they wanted as she catwalked down the famous Cannes Film Festival red carpet at the premiere for her latest film ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’. The film, which is directed by John Cameron Mitchell and based on the book by Neil Gaiman, also stars Alex Sharp, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson, and Matt Lucas. This will sound a little weird, but according to its Wiki entry, the film is a “British-American science fiction romantic-comedy.” Interesting.
Believe it or not, but they actually made a movie about Emojis! I guess it was only a matter of time until it happened, so this shouldn’t come as a total shock.
“The Emoji Movie” is a 3D animated feature with a star-studded cast of voices from A-list names including T.J. Miller, Anna Faris, James Corden, Patrick Stewart, Maya Rudolph, and Sofia Vergara. The film screened at the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival earlier today and will hit theaters later this summer on July 28. For those of you who are somewhat curious, check the trailer below:
We rarely see Zoe Salanda out & about with Italian artist husband Marco Perego, but the couple were all smiles as they attended the premiere of Zoe’s latest film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, which officially hits theaters on May 5, 2017. The couple left their twin two-year-old boys with the nannies and decided to enjoy the premiere as a date night. Even though Marco Perego decided to take take Zoe’s last name following their nuptials, he definitely gets a sweet deal from an A-list Hollywood lifestyle standpoint!
Here are a few more favorites from the big “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2” premiere held last night at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. A big shout-out to Elodie Yung and Allison Holker for rocking the see-thru dresses on the red carpet because we seldom see celebs taking risks on the red carpet these days! Anyway, here’s more about the film, followed by the trailer:

We should mention that Katherine Heigl is also in the film, but we chose instead to highlight Rosario Dawson’s appearance on the red carpet. It shouldn’t come as a complete surprise that the film’s producers hired Katherine Heigl to play the role of a vindictive ex-wife looking to ruin the life of her ex-husband and his new wife. It’s nice to see that she’s cashing in on the fact that everyone hates her.
Here’s more about the film’s plot:
Tessa Connover (Katherine Heigl) is barely coping with the end of her marriage when her ex-husband, David, becomes happily engaged to Julia (Rosario Dawson). Trying to settle into her new role as a wife and a stepmother, Julia believes she has finally met the man of her dreams, the man who can help her put her own troubled past behind her. Tessa’s jealousy takes a pathological turn, and she will stop at nothing to turn Julia’s dream into the ultimate nightmare. Source
“Smurfs: The Lost Village” is a reboot film unrelated to Sony’s previous effort that featured Katy Perry as Smurfette. Singer Demi Lovato scooped up the lead role as Smurfette in the reboot, which hits theaters this weekend. Ariel Winter, on the other hand, will do the voice for Smurf Lily, who is described as “a gentle girl Smurf” and 23-year-old singer Meghan Trainor lends her voice for Smurf Melody.
Here’s a brief plot summary for all you “Smurfs” fans:
In Smurf Village, the Smurfs live peacefully among themselves. Their leader is the wise and elderly, if a bit overprotective Papa Smurf (Mandy Patinkin). Most of the Smurfs include the klutsy and slow-witted Clumsy Smurf (Jack McBrayer), the intellegent and eccentric Brainy Smurf (Danny Pudi), the strong and gutsy Hefty Smurf (Joe Manganiello) and the beautiful Smurfette (Demi Lovato), who feels out of place in Smurf Village as the only girl. Smurfette was created by the villainous wizard Gargamel (Rainn Wilson) but was redeemed by Papa Smurf and became part of the village. Gargamel makes it his mission to capture the Smurfs, steal all of their essence, and become the most powerful wizard in the world. Source
As we mentioned yesterday, film industry trade show CinemaCon is in its final day at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It was a star-studded affair with A-list names showing up to represent their upcoming blockbusters for various production houses. You can visit the event’s official website for plenty more photos.
These particular photos were snapped at an event held by Hollywood production and distribution house Focus Features. Charlize Theron and Naomi Watts were looking great, while Kirsten Dunst not so much.

Damn, judging by the look on her face, you can tell that Scarlett Johansson really wants this movie to do well! At 32, she’s still very young, but unfortunately for Scarlett Hollywood adds around 15 years a woman’s age after she hits 26. On the topic of older women, I think 53-year-old Juliette Binoche really hit it out of the park. She looked great—even next to Scarlett!
Anyway, here’s more about her new sc-fi flick:

I just remember that “Power Rangers” known for its production quality when it was popular back in the 90s, but then later learned that it was mainly because it was dubbed over from the original Japanese version. I’m assuming with a production budget of around $100 million will yield a fairly nice finished product—at least we hope so! Don’t expect Oscar-quality storytelling or anything, but that should be the baseline expectation when it comes to action films.
One highlight of last night’s premiere at The Village Theater in Westwood was the attendance of one of our old favorites—Ms. Vida Guerra! I’m curious if she’s modeling her world-famous booty? With the advancement in Photochopping and airbrushing, I wouldn’t be surprised if Vida still enjoys a nice career showcasing her oiled-up booty. As for best dressed at the premiere, once again Kara Del Toro motorboated her way to victory. The woman must have the largest collection of “Look At My Rack” dresses! OW!

I don’t even know if she still has a fan base anymore! Scarlett needs stop falling in love and getting married for a few years because those divorces are definitely taking a toll on her! Let’s face it, the twists and turns in the typical marriage roller coaster are already pretty difficult and when you throw in a derailment caused by a divorce, it makes things all the more painful.
On the bright spot, Scarlett Johansson still finds time to work on new projects! The 32-year-old actress is currently making the rounds promoting her latest film ‘Ghost In The Shell’, which is directed by Rupert Sanders and hits theaters on March 31. Not everyone is happy with Scarlett in the film though. According to Wikipedia, “The casting of Johansson for the film was met with criticism from many fans and critics, calling the choice “whitewashing”. A petition was created in the effort to have Johansson removed from the project.”
