If the Oscars were too glamorous for your tastes, then you’ll probably enjoy what A-list models wore to the annual Elton AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. The event was held at The West Hollywood Park. We’re still getting a handle on the complete list of ladies in attendees, so we’ll have to update this post as the day goes along. In the meantime, enjoy the ladies who caught our at first glance. Thankfully, Kendall Jenner and the Hadid sisters didn’t attend (or who knows, maybe they were invited?).

Not sure how many of you guys watched through the fireworks finale at the Oscars last night, but I’m sure your Facebook/Instagram/Twitter feeds are probably buzzing with clips of how everything collapsed on live television during the Best Film announcement.
Long story short, Warren Beatty didn’t have the courage to speak up. The man was holding the card for Best Actress (Winner: Emma Stone, “Lala Land”) as opposed to Best Film (Winner: “Moonlight”), but somehow he made the rapid mental substitution that he would simply disregard the category & actress name as some sort of freak typo and go ahead and allow his announcing partner Faye Dunaway to do the honors by reading the film name on what was obviously the incorrect card. This quick and dirty act of simply glossing over critical details is a common error in human misjudgment that psychologists have known about for years, but for it to present itself on such a grand stage in front of countless million viewers is simply amazing. I think it’s safe to say that people won’t forget the moment anytime soon.

Here’s the full backstage interview with director Barry Jenkins and members of the “Moonlight” cast:
I have a feeling this will be the first of many promotional events for Emma Watson before Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ hits theaters next month on March 17. This is one of the first of many classics that plans to give the live-action remake treatment in the coming years. The film stars a deep cast that includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. Here’s the plot & trailer:
Belle is a young woman who is taken prisoner by a Beast in his castle in exchange for the freedom of her father Maurice. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and she learns to look beyond the Beast’s exterior to recognize the true heart and soul of the human Prince within. Meanwhile, a hunter named Gaston is on the loose to take Belle for himself and later intends to hunt down the Beast at any cost.
Here are the women who got our attention on the red carpet and sadly that’s not saying much. I wish we could say the outfits were the wildest we’ve seen, but nothing beats Grammy Awards circa early-to-mid-2000s (and probably the 90s, as well, for all we know). People are overly self-conscious and hyper aware of cameras these days with photos going live to countless million social media feeds around the globe. Gone are the days of major, un-staged wardrobe malfunctions and A-listers donning over-the-top freaky outfits simply because they didn’t give a shit.
Anyway, as most of you guys know by now, Adele took home a boat load of awards last night—at least the ones that mattered. Beyonce was nominated for nine, but took home two. To Adele’s credit, it seemed like by the end of the night after she would win a Grammy, she would awkwardly go out of her way to kiss Queen Bey’s ass just for the sake of kissing her ass. Beyonce, of course, stood in the front teary-eyed and absorbed all the praises being showered upon her.

It’s sad that you have a couple women in their 40s taking top honors for showcasing the sexiest legs at last night’s Grammy Awards, but I guess that’s how it goes these days. If we had to choose our favorite—based solely on legs—I think it’s safe to say that Heidi Klum wins. Vote for your favorite pair below and if you don’t agree with any of our choices, post photos of your favorite legs below in the comments.
There was nothing wrong with the outfit that Lea Michele wore last night except for the fact that it wasn’t made for her body. Lea’s legs are pretty much her sole redeeming physical feature and for some odd reason she decided to hide them from the cameras. Let’s hope Lea doesn’t live in her own twisted reality where she thinks she actually has a curvy body to pull off that dress & pose. Try a little harder next time, Lea.
We expect better from RiRi, but it seems like she was in the mood for enjoying a nice show as opposed to winning a lot of awards and doing performances. The cameras were on her pretty much the entire night, so you can tell CBS squeezed all the camera-time they could out of her, even though it was a little awkward at times. Also, RiRi was spotted swigging from a bedazzled flask the entire night, so I’m sure that was a nice thing for her young fans to see…
“Big Little Lies” is HBO’s upcoming new comedy-drama miniseries based on the book of the same by Liane Moriarty. The series, which premieres later this month on February 19, will star a deep cast including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgård and many others. Normally when you get so many big names working on a big project, it turns into shit, so it will be interesting to see how director Jean-Marc Vallée and writer David E. Kelley prove us wrong.
The premiere was held last night at the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. You can read Variety magazine’s recent review here.
We’re not sure how many of you guys went out and watched “Fifty Shades of Grey,” but judging by its crazy success at the box-office with the first film, it doesn’t surprise us at all that producers are going all in with the series. For the record, the first film had a production of $40 million and raked in roughly $571 million at the box-office! Now, that’s what I call a great return!
These latest photos were snapped at the ‘Fifty Shades Darker‘ film premiere yesterday at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. According to the film’s Wiki, the cast includes Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan star as the leads Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, with Kim Basinger, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini scoring supporting roles. Here’s more about the film:
Following the events of Fifty Shades of Grey, Anastasia “Ana” Steele tries to move on from her relationship with Christian Grey. A wounded Christian convinces her to resume their romance under Ana’s conditions. As the couple begins their normal relationship, Christian’s past threatens to tear the couple apart. Source
As we mentioned in a previous email, Ruby Rose is set to star in a number of films this year, thanks mainly to her popularity on the Netflix series “Orange Is the New Black.” Earlier in the month, Ruby was on the red carpet promoting “XXX: Return of Xander Cage” and sometime later this year, she’ll be back on the red carpet at the “Pitch Perfect 3” premiere. Looks like somebody has cornered the franchise market, but hey, as long as the fat checks are rolling, it’s all good!
These latest photos were snapped last night at the “John Wick: Chapter 2” premiere held at The Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. Following a near-4x return on the 2014 original, it was only natural for the producers to roll the dice with a sequel! Aside from Keanu Reeves and Ruby Rose, “Chapter 2” stars Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo Scamarcio, John Leguizamo and Ian McShane. The film will hit theaters next weekend.
More about the film:
Legendary hitman John Wick is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome, where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.[Source]
And finally, judging by all the ladies in attendance, I think one of our trademark polls is in order…
