2017 Grammys: Lea Michele Needs To Work On A More Flattering Pose

There was nothing wrong with the outfit that Lea Michele wore last night except for the fact that it wasn’t made for her body. Lea’s legs are pretty much her sole redeeming physical feature and for some odd reason she decided to hide them from the cameras. Let’s hope Lea doesn’t live in her own twisted reality where she thinks she actually has a curvy body to pull off that dress & pose. Try a little harder next time, Lea.

We expect better from RiRi, but it seems like she was in the mood for enjoying a nice show as opposed to winning a lot of awards and doing performances. The cameras were on her pretty much the entire night, so you can tell CBS squeezed all the camera-time they could out of her, even though it was a little awkward at times. Also, RiRi was spotted swigging from a bedazzled flask the entire night, so I’m sure that was a nice thing for her young fans to see…

Our Favorites From HBO’s ‘Big Little Lies’ Premiere In Hollywood

“Big Little Lies” is HBO’s upcoming new comedy-drama miniseries based on the book of the same by Liane Moriarty. The series, which premieres later this month on February 19, will star a deep cast including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgård and many others. Normally when you get so many big names working on a big project, it turns into shit, so it will be interesting to see how director Jean-Marc Vallée and writer David E. Kelley prove us wrong.

The premiere was held last night at the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. You can read Variety magazine’s recent review here.

Fashionable Ladies – Premiere Of Universal Pictures’ “Fifty Shades Darker” 1

Rita Ora, Dakota Johnson, Bella Heathcote and Halsey Photo Credit: FameFlynet Pictures; Rita Ora, Dakota Johnson, Bella Heathcote and Halsey

We’re not sure how many of you guys went out and watched “Fifty Shades of Grey,” but judging by its crazy success at the box-office with the first film, it doesn’t surprise us at all that producers are going all in with the series. For the record, the first film had a production of $40 million and raked in roughly $571 million at the box-office! Now, that’s what I call a great return!

These latest photos were snapped at the ‘Fifty Shades Darker‘ film premiere yesterday at The Theatre at Ace Hotel. According to the film’s Wiki, the cast includes Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan star as the leads Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, with Kim Basinger, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini scoring supporting roles. Here’s more about the film:

Following the events of Fifty Shades of Grey, Anastasia “Ana” Steele tries to move on from her relationship with Christian Grey. A wounded Christian convinces her to resume their romance under Ana’s conditions. As the couple begins their normal relationship, Christian’s past threatens to tear the couple apart. Source

Ruby Rose & Others at the “John Wick: Chapter 2” Premiere in Hollywood

As we mentioned in a previous email, Ruby Rose is set to star in a number of films this year, thanks mainly to her popularity on the Netflix series “Orange Is the New Black.” Earlier in the month, Ruby was on the red carpet promoting “XXX: Return of Xander Cage” and sometime later this year, she’ll be back on the red carpet at the “Pitch Perfect 3” premiere. Looks like somebody has cornered the franchise market, but hey, as long as the fat checks are rolling, it’s all good!

These latest photos were snapped last night at the “John Wick: Chapter 2” premiere held at The Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. Following a near-4x return on the 2014 original, it was only natural for the producers to roll the dice with a sequel! Aside from Keanu Reeves and Ruby Rose, “Chapter 2” stars Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo Scamarcio, John Leguizamo and Ian McShane. The film will hit theaters next weekend.

More about the film:

Legendary hitman John Wick is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome, where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.[Source]

And finally, judging by all the ladies in attendance, I think one of our trademark polls is in order…

Our Favorites From The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

Rebecca Romijn, Diane Guerrero and Amy AdamsPhoto Credit: FameFlynet Pictures; Rebecca Romijn, Diane Guerrero and Amy Adams

Apologies this post is coming so late in the day, but we were making sure we’re the absolute last “media outlet” to post photos from last night’s 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. We’re going with a portrait-heavy showcase of our favorite attendees on the red carpet. After looking at all these sparkling gowns for the past few weeks, I’m really looking forward to the Grammy Awards on February 12. OW!

With respect to the awards, it seems like the award shows are playing nice with the African-American community this year after a complete snub last year in the nominations & awards department. Three out of top four best acting winners went to well-deserved African-American actors—Denzel Washington for Fences, Mahershala Ali for Moonlight and Viola Davis for Fences. For a complete list of nominees and winners, check here.

Ariel Winter Dabbles In PDA Action On Red Carpet At 2017 SAG Awards

This shouldn’t come as a total surprise, but young actress Ariel Winter was seen making out with her boyfriend & fellow actor Levi Meaden on the red carpet at last night’s 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

I think it’s safe to say that Ariel Winter isn’t afraid of the magnitude of any red carpet moment, but then again, we should consider the fact that she pretty much grew up while acting on a hit TV series and let’s not forget that she’s only 19! Not too many people can handle excessive amounts of fame and fortune while really young, so I’d be a little surprised if she behaved completely normal. Let’s just say Natalie Portman isn’t one of her role models.

Since time is a little tight today, we’re going to focus on the big “xXx: Return Of Xander Cage” premiere in Hollywood. It was a fairly star-packed premiere, so there are plenty of faces to keep you guys busy—at least those of you aren’t preoccupied with the inauguration.

Before we move to the commenting on the photos, here’s more about the new film, which is the third in the “xXx” franchise. Hitting theaters this weekend, the film stars Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, Kris Wu, Ruby Rose, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Toni Collette and Samuel L. Jackson.

Extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), thought to be long dead, comes out of self-imposed exile as recruited by the CIA to race villain Xiang (Donnie Yen) to recover a powerful weapon known as “Pandora’s Box” which can control military satellites which could cause catastrophic damage. Recruiting a group of thrill-seeking cohorts (a sharpshooter and a hacker), Xander finds himself caught up in a deadly conspiracy of corruption among world governments including insiders in his own country’s government. Here’s the trailer—the opening photo features Vin Diesel and Bollywood star Deepika Padukone:

Damn, those are lot of tats! Can you imagine what Ruby Rose will look like when she’s 60? Not sure about you guys, but Hermione Corfield has our attention.

Major “OW!” to Paloma Jimenez and can somebody tell Maria Menounos to buy longer dresses? Those legs look painful.

Bryce Dallas Howard, Camilla Alves, & Matthew McConaughey at the “Gold” Film Premiere in NYC

The premiere was held last night at AMC Loews Lincoln Square in NYC.

We wish we could say that Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey once again struck gold with his latest film, but sadly critics online are trashing his latest effort (see Metacritic & Rotten Tomatoes). As an apparent consolation from the award show circuit, “Gold,” a film that released on December 30th and is co-produced by Matthew McConaughey himself, received a Golden Globe Award nomination for its self-titled original song. You can listen to it below:

Here’s more about the film:

Sienna Miller & Stephanie Pratt At The ‘Live By Night’ London Premiere

Sienna Miller and Stephanie PrattPhoto Credit: FameFlynet Pictures

I know, I know, Stephanie Pratt is a reality TV hasbeen, but hey she was at the “Live By Night” premiere held at BFI Southbank in London earlier in the week. She isn’t a cast member, so it seems like she just enjoys playing dress up attending A-list premieres.

The new crime drama has “Ben Affleck” written all over it. Not only does he star in the film, but he’s also credited as the writer, director & producer. Other cast members include Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Messina, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Cooper.

Here’s more about the film:

Set in the 1920s and 1930s, the story follows Joe Coughlin, the prodigal son of a Boston police captain. Joe is a World War I veteran of Irish descent who is in love with Emma Gould (Sienna Miller), mistress of the notorious gangster Albert White (Robert Glenister), who is the boss of the Irish Gang of Boston. Joe’s father, Thomas Coughlin, disapproves of Emma. Joe and Emma decide to move to California to escape the wrath of White, but to their misfortune the head of Albert’s rival, Italian Mafia Maso Pescatore (Remo Girone), finds out about their affair and blackmails Joe to kill Albert. Joe refuses, as he was done with killing after the war, to which Maso threatens to inform Albert. Joe commits a bank heist with his partner Dion Bartolo (Chris Messina), during which three police officers are killed in the ensuing chase. On the day of their planned escape, Albert catches Joe (following a trap created by him and his goons that involved Emma betraying him) and nearly beats him to death before the police arrive and arrest him for the policemen’s murders.
