The 2014 Latin Record Academy Person of The Year ceremony took place in Las Vegas. Joan Manuel Serrat was honored at the event which was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Juanes, Vicentico, Diego Torres, Ruben Blades, Calle 13, Pablo Alboran, and Miguel Bose were amongst those who performed. Serrat, who will celebrate 50 years since his first public performance this coming February, just released Antología Desordenada (Disorganized Anthology) on Sony, a four-CD set of 50 of some of his biggest hits, most re-recorded, including 31 duets with different artists.

The classic tune was covered by many of the Hollywood greats such as Lucielle Ball, The Mark Brothers, and many more. “MAMA YO!” Music Video has already hit 1.2 million views in Spain after a month and over 2 million video views combined worldwide and growing!

Last week our friend of the site, the bootylicious Mayra Veronica rubbed shoulders with some Hollywood A-Listers hitting up a benefit for the Children Defense Fund hosted by J.J. Abrams and Coach. 100% of profits for Coach products sold went towards the charity along with an additional $100,000 donation from Coach.
