Yes, there were other things to talk about from Cannes besides Eva Longoria’s upskirt wardrobe malfunction which continues to be the buzz of the internet. Jimmy P. might have gotten a boost in coverage but there are more films for you folks to pay attention to. Here are a few of the latest photocalls and premieres that don’t include Eva Longoria or Doutzen Kroes.
Both Zoe Saldana and Marion Cotillard are in town for Blood Ties whiel Ahna O’Reilly is there for As I Lay Dying. Early in the weekend Carey Mulligan attended the photocall for Inside Llewyn Davis before hitting the premiere while Rooney Mara took to the premiere of Ain’t Them Bodies Saints. Keep up to date with all our coverage from the Cannes Film Festival, yes, there’s more to it than just Eva Longoria’s upskirt wardrobe malfunction!!
So the event to be at last night was the 2013 Miss Golden Globe Awards hosted by the HFPA and InStyle at Cecconi’s restaurant in West Hollywood. However, the actual honoree of “Miss Golden Globe” didn’t make this megapost of attendees. Francesca Fisher-Eastwood was named Miss Golden Globe 2013. It’s traditionally the child of a famous person that wins the honor. Basically her job will be to escort the winners on and off the stage at the Golden Globe Awards next January. For more info and to see the nominees when they’re announced December 13th, visit the Golden Globes website.

ELLE’s 19th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last night. Yeah, as you can see, a lot of ladies attended the event and this isn’t even everyone; we figured to cap our over-coverage at 20 attendees. Pretty much the only dude in attendance was Robert Pattinson who was there to give an award to Uma Thurman. To be clear, we have no idea what type of awards were handed out or who was awarded but we can link you to Elle’s Women in Hollywood website and lead you down to the poll and Gallery; we’re sure you can’t wait to get clicking on all the photos.

The ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon took place yesterday at the Beverly Hills Hote. Honorees included Paula Patton, Kerry Washington, Octavia Spencer, Pam Grier, and Shonda Rimes. Other attendees included Octavia Spencer, Viola Davis, and Jordin Sparks. Says Constance White, Essence Editor-in-Chief:
“The luncheon exists to provide a fitting tribute to the brilliant talent and accomplishments of African-American trailblazers like Kerry, Pam, Paula, Octavia, and Shonda, and celebrate their collective work as an inspiration for generations to come.” [Source]
Here’s the first of two posts to go over the rest of the ladies we decided to post from the 2012 WB & InStyle Golden Globes After Party. Our guess is that most of these ladies weren’t invited to the actual show seeing that most of them weren’t nominated or haven’t been nominated in the past for a Golden Globe. However, here goes the first batch. Be sure to check out the rest of our overloaded coverage of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, though it’s old news by now.
Be sure to check out the first group of ladies (including Charlize Theron and Michelle Williams) that attended BAFTA Los Angeles 18th Annual Awards Season Tea Party held at the Four Seasons Hotel. Check out our continued coverage of all the pre and post celebration of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
