In addition to our earlier posts, here are a few more of our favorites to catwalk down the red carpet at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. Aside from Kirsten Dunst, whom we were forced to brown bag (not that anyone was looking at her face), the other ladies on our shortlist should please even the pickiest among you bastards (OK, we’re probably overreaching with that previous statement).
Hosted by Ricky Gervais, some winners of the night were “The Revenant”, “The Martian”, “Mr. Robot”, “Mozart in the Jungle” along with individual awards going to Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Jon Hamm, Matt Damon and Jennifer Lawrence, to name a few. Check out the full list of nominees and winners.
I have yet to watched it, but apparently there’s already Oscar buzz around the “The Danish Girl”—potential Best Actress/Actor nods for both Alicia Vikander and Eddie Redmayne, as well as the film itself for Best Picture. The film, which also stars Amber Heard, premiered last night in London at the Odeon Leicester Square, but won’t go into wider release in the UK until January 1st.
Here’s more about the film:
In early 1920s Copenhagen, the illustrator and artist Gerda Wegener (Alicia Vikander) asks her husband, Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne), to stand in for a female model. The popularity of the portraits leads to Gerda painting her husband in further pictures as a woman. Einar develops an attraction for the female physical appearance and begins living as a woman named Lili Elbe. Ultimately Elbe becomes the first ever recipient of male to female sex reassignment surgery, and Gerda supports her decision, although their marriage becomes strained when Gerda comes to the realization that Lili is no longer the person she married. A childhood friend of Lili, Hans Axgil (Matthias Schoenaerts), shows up and forms a complex love triangle with the couple.[Source]
The last time we saw Alicia on the site was last month when she was on the set of an Elle Magazine’s photoshoot in Los Angles. After starring in “Seventh Son” and “Ex Machina”, you’ll next see Alicia star in Guy Ritchie’s “The Man From UNCLE”, also starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. Look for it in theaters this weekend!
It appears Alicia in NYC to kick off a promo tour ahead of the film’s release. Here’s more about the film, the trailer, as well as a behind-the-scenes interview about her experience doing the film.
Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s period of the Cold War, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. centers on U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement) agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. The two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization led by Victoria Vinciguerra, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is Gaby Teller, the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find her and prevent a worldwide catastrophe. It was pretty much your above-average King Sugar Daddy’s wildest fantasy—aside from the part where you have to give away money, of course. Picture it like this, you’re sitting inside a beautiful hall packed full scantily-clad, equally beautiful women and there are only a few ways to truly get noticed by one of these women:
1. Be a world famous actor
2. Be within Leonardo DiCaprio’s tightly-knit entourage
3. Or, when the time is most propitious, raise your hand to make a $10+ million donation in the fight against AIDS.
Apparently this year’s event raised around $30 million according to amfAR’s website:
The 22nd annual Cinema Against AIDS gala in Antibes, France, May 21, raised more than $30 million for amfAR’s AIDS research programs and the search for a cure. The undisputed highlight of the evening’s live auction, led by auctioneer Simon de Pury, was a stunning 18½ foot tall sculpture by Jeff Koons, titled Coloring Book. After a lively round of bidding, the work, part of Koons’s Celebration Series, sold for over $13 million.
It’s still unconfirmed which one of these supermodels went along with this aforementioned $13 million sculpture by Jeff Koons. Anyone want to take a wild guess?

Léa Seydoux: Definitely one of the sexiest ladies on the red carpet last night! Also, I’m really digging those to F-me stares into the camera and if she threw a few of those same stares in Leo’s direction, I’m sure Lea won the Leo Red Carpet Lottery.
Sai Bennett is a British model, so we know how Leo gets around them. If were putting money on this, I’d go with Sai simply because she’s a model. More about Sai here >>>
Alicia Vikander: We love Alicia, but I think she might just be too much of an actress for Leo.
Following it’s premiere in the UK back in early September, “Anna Karenina,” starring Keira Knightley, Jude Law, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, finally hit theaters here in the U.S. with a star-studded premiere at the ArcLight Hollywood theater in Los Angeles. You’d think the previous twenty adaptions of Leo Tolstoy’s classic would suffice, but apparently not. I’m a closet fan of Keira Knightley’s acting, so I’m pretty sure she killed it as Anna Karenina. Here’s some plot action for those of you who haven’t read the book (Wiki):
The story unfolds in its original late 19th century tsarist Russia high-society setting and powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart, from the passion between adulterers to the bond between a mother and her children. As Anna Karenina (Keira Knightley) questions her happiness, change comes to her family, friends, and community.
