Wait, so there was a Leighton Meester concert in West Hollywood last night?! Since when did Leighton Meester start singing? The Michalka sisters got all dolled-up for the big night.
Both sisters juggle music, acting & modeling, but I feel like the focus these days is more on acting. Amanda (“AJ”) is working on a Lifetime movie, while sister Alyson is working on the dark comedy “Killing Winston Jones” co-starring A-listers like Danny Glover and Richard Dreyfuss.
These were snapped sometime over the weekend. Aside from hitting up film premieres and other industry-related events, both sisters Aly & AJ also like hanging out together when they’re off the clock, so it’s nice to see that there’s no big sister rivalry considering AJ is probably the more successful sibling.
Anyway, I know we’ve probably done this poll a few times before, but hey, people change their minds, right?
God damn! Both sisters, Aly & AJ as they’re commonly known, were looking absolutely amazing at last night’s ‘Grown Ups 2‘ premiere at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square in NYC. There was one other major standout who we’ll feature in a few. According to the film’s Wiki, Aly plays the role of the Sexy Bikini Girl Savannah.

78violet sisters, Aly and AJ Michalka together attended The 20th Annual Race To Erase MS gala, themed “Love To Erase MS”, held at The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City. Since we’re sticking to the vital information of the event, here goes our copy and paste skills from the Victoria Justice post. Be sure to hit up the poll below too.
The night honored Sharon and Jack Osbourne as the “Medal of Hope” Award Recipients and also featured performances by Elton John and Taio Cruz. In addition to the live entertainment, the night featured cocktails, dinner, and a silent auction, all of which is to benefit the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis. AJ and Aly Michalka were amongst the attendees that walked the red carpet for the Grand Opening of “CeeLo Green is Loberace” at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The first run of 28 performances ends April 13th, then he returns through New Year’s. The show is basically a non-stop show of hits as only you can imagine Cee-Lo would perform. Tickets start at $54.50. For more info, visit Cee-Lo at PlanetHollywood.com.
Hundreds of looney, diehard fans skipped school & work to camp outside in a tent city near the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles ahead of the big film premiere for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” I never understood how somebody can convince themselves to do stupid things like camping out for a frickin’ movie? Are they that obsessed? One thing everyone learned for the experience was that the LAPD will condone a tent city for an upcoming movie premiere, but they’ll resort to brutally trashing similar tent cities built by people protesting against the social issues. Great value system, right? Everyone together: “USA! USA! USA!
On a more positive note, it’s about fucking time this series ended and society as a whole can finally move on from the vampire & werewolf bullshit onto some other crap. What’s on tap, anyway? Whatever the hell it is, let’s just hope & pray that there’s better acting and the leads aren’t as depressing as Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson. Actually, Robert Pattinson is somewhat tolerable, but it’s Kristen Stewart who annoys the shit out of me. For the sake of quality film making, Kristen’s career falls apart over the next 12 months. Let’s face it, the girl simply can’t act if her life depended on it!! I guess all that directors & producers can see in her is name recognition & the likelihood that she’ll give them a nice a blowjob & possibly a few nights of no-strings-attached sex. Then again, I think that’s the hope w/ every hot actress in Hollywood?
Let’s turn to the some plot action b/c I’m sure there’s at least one person out there who’s still clueless about how this thing will end:
After being brought back from near-death by Edward after childbirth, Bella begins her new life as a vampire and mother to their daughter, Renesmee. But when Irina, a member of the Denali coven, misidentifies Renesmee as a immortal child, a human infant who has been bitten and transformed into a vampire, to the Volturi, they set out to battle and destroy the Cullens for their betrayal. In a final attempt to survive, the Cullens begin to gather foreign Vampire clans and nomads to stand and witness against the Volturi, including the Denali, the Amazonian, the Egyptian, the Irish and Romanian Covens, with European and American nomads. With their allies, the Cullens and the Wolf Pack stand to prove their innocence to the Volturi once and for all.

Not along the lines of prestige as the 2012 Met Costume Institute Gala is the “NYLON Magazine Celebrates The Annual May Young Hollywood Issue” party that took place last night at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. After taking a look at the attendees who would you say is the headliner of the bunch that is actually recognized by atleast 40% of the readers that come here; granted 40% means maybe 8 of the 20 that can actually connect excluding myself and Moe. Missing from the event was Victoria Justice who apparently appears in a photoshoot for the May issue, you can view those photos here. Anyways, keep scrolling, check out your favorites and naturally we have our obligatory non-scientific poll at the end.
Photo Credit: Pacific Coast News Read our review of “Super 8″ here! These were snapped this past Wednesday (Nov. 22) at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
The cast of this past summer’s critically acclaimed “Super 8” was on hand for the big Blue-ray & DVD release party. Normally these things happen quietly without any of the cast bothering to show up, but since this project involves Hollywood bigwigs like J. J. Abrams (writer) & Steven Spielberg (producer), everyone’s proceeding very cautiously. I think the only person not in attendance was Steven Spielberg.
When “Super 8″ was in theaters it raked in a somewhat disappointing $250 million, but when you’re film costs only $50 mil to make, you can’t feel too badly, right? I guess expectations were a little too high, to say the least. Then again, the Blu-ray & DVD should pull in millions more, so I’m sure Steven Spielberg & J.J. Abrams won’t have too much trouble buying gifts this holiday season.

The J. J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg film Super 8 is out on DVD and Blu-Ray just in time for the holiday season. We plugged the movie a bunch when it released in theaters back in June and really haven’t looked back to see how the movie did. Apparently well as it earned over $250 million with an estimated $50 million budget. We’re guessing that DVD sales will only drive that number up.
Of the Michalka sisters, Amanda (AJ) appeared as Jen Kaznyk alongside Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, and Kyle Chandler. Hit up the Super 8 official website to order your copy and re-watch the trailer to remind yourself which movie this was if you’ve already forgotten.
