Amber Valletta caught our attention amongst the attendees at the 16th Annual EIF Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s “An Unforgettable Evening”. Presented by Saks Fifth Avenue the event took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. The EIF (Entertainment Industry Foundation) also includes programs Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), iParticipate, and The National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance. The LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala was held at LACMA in Los Angeles over the weekend. As you can see, there were many in attendance so we had to narrow it down to the ten worth posting, atleast on this site. The gala honored Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick with a special tribute by Steven Spielberg which was presented by Gucci. The co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio and Eva Chow. Both Kubrick and Ruscha have dedicated exhibitions on view at LACMA this month. For more info, visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art website.

Amber Valletta @ World Ocean Day 2008

These days she’s better known as an actress, and for her support of environmental issues. She has a young son, Auden, with her second husband, former Olympic volleyball player Christian McCaw. (Her first marriage to fellow model Herve Le Bihan lasted two years.) She lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fellow model Shalom Harlow is her best friend.

Amber Valletta loves acting and is said to have reduced her acting coach to tears with her talent. “She told me I have to use my instrument,” Amber reported. “That if I don’t do something creative I will hurt myself or someone else.” Vogue.com
