I think it’s safe to say the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who nominates & presents the awards at the annual Academy Awards is seriously regretting not including Ben Affleck as a Best Director nominee for the upcoming awards. Somebody powerful on the committee obviously holds a grudge against Ben (or maybe even Iran), but I think he could careless considering he has won at pretty much every other award show this season. Once again, Ben Affleck & his directorial debut film “Argo” took home the top prizes at the 66th British Academy Film Awards, winning both Best Film & Best Director honors. Let’s hope he & wife Jennifer Garner make sure they use protection when have having sex later tonight back at their luxury hotel in London.

Other notable winners included Daniel Day-Lewis and Emmanuelle Riva receiving awards for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively and continuing her own award season streak, Anne Hathaway scored Best Supporting Actress honors. Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor for his tremendous work in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” And last but not least, “Skyfall” was named Best British Film. If you bastards haven’t watched any of the films, you have a lot of screen time ahead of you.

Personal Favorites (direct link to each gallery): Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Gemma Arterton & of course the pimp duo, George Clooney & Ben Affleck

As the award season gets into full swing, last night’s star-studded event was the 18th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport. We’ll cover most of the big-shots who walked the red carpet, so look for those photos soon.

The big winners will definitely send mix signals b/c certain Oscar snubs turned out to take the top honors. Best Picture went to Ben Affleck’s “Argo” & the actor-turned-director also scored the award for Best Director. While “Argo” received a Best Picture nod by the Oscars, Ben Affleck didn’t get any love in the director category. Seems like somebody didn’t kiss the right asses!

Let’s run through the other big dogs:

Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis — Lincoln as President Abraham Lincoln
Best Actress: Jessica Chastain — Zero Dark Thirty as Maya
Best Supporting Actor: Philip Seymour Hoffman — The Master as Lancaster Dodd

Best Supporting Actress: Anne Hathaway — Les Miserables as Fantine
Best Young Actor/Actress: Quvenzhané Wallis — Beasts of the Southern Wild as Hushpuppy
Best Acting Ensemble: Silver Linings Playbook

Best Director: Ben Affleck — Argo
Best Original Screenplay: Quentin Tarantino — Django Unchained
Best Adapted Screenplay: Tony Kushner — Lincoln
