Damn, talk about coming out of left field! When you think about Anna Kendrick, the last thing that comes to mind is Anna wearing an inviting bra showcasing her motorboat-friendly rack while she makes love to you with her eyes. I gotta admit, like countless other people, I absolutely loved Anna in ‘Up In The Air’ and know she’s gonna do amazing things in Hollywood. The fact that she might also allow Hollywood to use her as a sex object is definitely an added plus. OW!
Anyway, Anna’s currently making the rounds doing promotional work for her new film ‘Drinking Buddies‘. In that effort she sat down with Vulture for an interview in which she revealed, among other things, how it felt to get drunk set for the first time.
During a scene at the bar, they gave me fake beer, but then during a scene where I’m playing cards with Jake, they gave me real beer, and I didn’t realize it! And so every time I lost, I was pounding beer, and I didn’t realize it was real until halfway through the take. I was like, I’m super drunk right now! And so as soon as the take was over, I had to announce to everybody that I was drunk at work. I was horrified by the idea that I was going to be the next troublesome star who got drunk and started flipping over tables or whatever. I just tried to sit quietly until I sobered up.

Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience” album release party hosted by Target and Clear Channel at took place last night at the El Rey Theatre. This is JT’s third studio album and you’ve probably heard “Suit & Tie” 100s of times already and the second single “Mirrors” is probably going that route too. So apparently there’ll be a “second half” of “The 20/20 Experience” set to be released in November so basically fans will have to buy a second album to truly get that JT 20/20 experience; all a marketing ploy in our opinion. Why not just put out one double album? Anyway, used copies are already available on Amazon if you haven’t already (illegally) downloaded your copy already.

ELLE’s 19th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last night. Yeah, as you can see, a lot of ladies attended the event and this isn’t even everyone; we figured to cap our over-coverage at 20 attendees. Pretty much the only dude in attendance was Robert Pattinson who was there to give an award to Uma Thurman. To be clear, we have no idea what type of awards were handed out or who was awarded but we can link you to Elle’s Women in Hollywood website and lead you down to the poll and Gallery; we’re sure you can’t wait to get clicking on all the photos.

The Mr. Pink’s Ginseng Energy Drink launch party was held at the Beverly Wilshire last night. We’re guessing organizers were thrilled that they were able to get Lindsay Lohan to RSVP along with Michael Jackson’s kids, Paris and Prince, along with their Aunty LaToya. Couple that with Audrina Patridge who’s done nothing and Paulina Gretzky who’s best-known for her pictures on Twitter and Instagram, it looks as though Anna Kendrick and to a certain degree Lauren Mayhew were out of place. Anyways, hit up the Mr. Pink Ginseng website more info and the nutritional benefits.

Target Celebrates “Falling For You” in New York City took place last night. “Falling For You” is a short film romantic comedy series online at Target.com starring Kristen Bell as an ad executive. In conjunction with the films, Target plugs everything available for purchase from Target. Says Kristen about the project:
“I think the idea of branded entertainment is interesting, and Target is doing it in a very smart way, tapping a director like Phil Abraham and creating a script that very naturally featured the product. I was intrigued by the idea overall, especially because I shop at Target and have been wanting to work with Phil for a while now.” [Source]
I always feel sorry for actors who have to sit through an interview with David Letterman, but at times they can be amusing to watch b/c you can tell neither person wants to be there:
The quirky Anna Kendrick is making the media rounds in NYC promoting her latest film “Pitch Perfect” which hits theaters today. The musical comedy is produced by Elizabeth Banks & her hubby Max Handelman and features not only a seemingly hilarious premise, but also the equally hilarious Rebel Wilson. Here’s more juice about the plot, followed by the trailer:
The story follows an all-girls acapella group, “The Bellas” who try to beat the reigning acapella group, “Treble Makers”. Beca, a girl who wishes to become a famous DJ in Los Angeles, is forced to go to college in Carolina because her father disapproves. There she is introduced to the Bellas, who are scouting for new members. Beca also meets a boy who works in the radio station with her. One girl suggests that she should audition, but Beca turns down the offer. She later decides to audition, and passes the test along with “Fat Amy” and a few other girls. It turns out the boy she met passed the test to be in the Treble Makers, rivals against the Bellas. Both of these groups aim for winning the international acapella contest, creating tension, and forbidden romance. Source
