Yup, we live in a world where Bella Hadid is widely considered by the fashion industry to be an A-list model. We’re the first to admit that technology changed the world for the better, but the powers of tech and combined with social media has wreaked havoc on both entertainment and fashion. I think it’s safe to say that, in certain instances, talent is secondary to how many “likes” and “followers” you can amass on various online accounts. If somebody can just figure out an algorithm to weed out the phonies and showcase only the most deserving—whether it’s beauty in fashion industry or entertainers appearing on television—this will not only be a huge public service, but also turn out to be potentially very lucrative.
While we patiently wait for this tech Jedi Knight to surface with a silver-bullet solution, we’ll have to force you guys to suffer through these Bella Hadid photos. The model was seen catwalking around NYC with that all-too-common “Hey look at me! My shit doesn’t smell!” look on her face.
Can you believe it? We live in a world in which chicks like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid are considered A-list models! I guess that’s the power of social media. You don’t necessarily need to be the best at what you do—or in their case, be the most beautiful—but rather, all you need to have is a large fan base and brands will pay you millions to pimp their goods.
These photso were snapped over the past few days as both Kendall, Bella and other social media-fueled models enjoyed Cannes Film Festival.
I’m not sure if Bella Hadid attended the Cannes Film Festival a few years ago, but the lesser famous Hadid sister was in attendance last year to do some promotional modeling work. Along with a number of A-listers, Bella also walked the world-famous red carpet at the “Ismael’s Ghost” premiere as part of the 70th Cannes Film Festival.
Bella is currently in Cannes with her friend and fellow model Hailey Baldwin, who was also at the premiere.
I hate to say this, but I think the overexposure of the Bella and Gigi Hadid is going a long way in making the sisters look more and more attractive with each outing. When they first hit the scene, I remember asking, “Why the hell are these two models?!” and “What the hell happened to the modeling industry?!” and now months later, they seem to be growing on me. What the hell is wrong with me?
Normally when we see Bella Hadid it looks like needs to eat a few burgers, but you wouldn’t be able to tell the young supermodel weighs 80lbs when she’s rocking that huge fur coat. And in other news, Bella recently played the political card a bit by stating she’s a daughter of a refugee and a proud Muslim. Her father is Mohamed Hadid, a Jordanian-American real estate developer of Palestinian origin, who reportedly has a net worth of around $150 million. Damn.

So this is what modern-day supermodels look like when they’re off the clock? Both Bella and Gigi were spotted out and about earlier in the week working their respective styles as they battled through the city’s snowy weather. It appears both are booked for various shoots in the city following a successful week of high-fashion runways during Paris Fashion Week. Seems somewhat unbelievable, but hey, we’re living in the Age of Trump, so anything is possible! OW!
We gloss over this quick since I know a lot of you guys find the Hadid sisters a little on the annoying side. The sisters are all over Paris Fashion Week, which officially kicked off yesterday and runs through March 8. The sisters, along with Gigi‘s boytoy Zayn Malik, attended a Tommy Hilfiger promotional event at Laperouse restaurant to celebrate the launch of ‘Tommy X Gigi‘.
As for those pics of Bella rocking the all-red getup, those were snapped as the young model left the Lavin fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2017/2018.

We’re not the biggest Hadid-sister fans, but we know some of you guys have a lot of love for them. We’re going to give the fashion industry the benefit of the doubt and assuming the current trend of social media-fueled models is simply a passing fad—kind of like dudes rocking ski goggles as part of their everyday style, annoying trucker hats or those God-awful square-toed dress shoes.
Not sure where most of you guys stand on this, but I just can’t see the Hadid sisters keeping up this runway act for too many seasons. I feel like their millions of Instagram followers are compensating for what they’re both lacking in features we’ve come to expect from world-class supermodels who are worthy of A-list runways. Unfortunately, our record of calling career failures is very spotty at best. Let’s just say we’ve been predicting Kim Kardashian’s downfall since 2008!

It’s interesting that Kendall Jenner was missing from the fashion show, but I guess Tommy Hilfiger wanted to have Gigi Hadid as the center of attention. Tommy Hilfiger and company setup camp on a small strip of Venice Beach and called it TommyLand. The designer hired a bunch of models and showcased their Spring, 2017 collection on the beach.
The production reminded me of a something VS would do, so it’s possible the Tommy Hilfiger is trying another promotional strategy to generate extra buzz. Not to knock on Gigi Hadid, but Tommy’s marketing department could’ve gotten a more A-list model to headline the show. Gigi’s great, but she’s far from a showstopper! I don’t care how many followers she has on Instagram!

Oops–we forgot about Stella Maxwell, so we’re giving her the red carpet treatment:
New York Men’s Fashion Week is going on right now, but a large influx of globe-trotting fashionistas (aside from those residing in countries found on the Trump banned list) for the women’s New York Fashion Week which kicks off February 9 and runs through the 17th.
These recent photos were snapped as the sisters worked their respective styles in NYC. Bella was seen leaving her apartment and heading to a DKNY store in the city. I’m going to assume she was decked out in DKNY gear ahead of the designer’s runway show in a week. And, older sis Gigi rocked an and all-black ensemble while out and about. Some of you guys might like to hear that last week both joined the many people that protested President Trump’s Immigration Policy on the streets of NYC. Hating Trump and his policies is definitely a hot fashion trend right now!
