Jessica Biel shined on the red carpet standing alongside her co-star Kaya Scodelario and the film’s writer, director and producer Francesca Gregorini. ‘The Truth About Emanuel’ first premiered to a lukewarm reception at the Sundance Film Festival back in January.
After checking the red carpet pics, I have to admit, Laura James & Kaya Scodelario will win a few new fans. As for Showtime’s ‘Masters of Sex‘ star Rose McIver, she was opted for a more classier dress this time around as opposed to the ultra-sexy getup she had going at ‘The Hobbit’ premiere earlier in the week.
Here’s more about the film:
Emanuel, a troubled girl, becomes preoccupied with her mysterious, new neighbor, who bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother. In offering to babysit her newborn, Emanuel unwittingly enters a fragile, fictional world, of which she becomes the gatekeeper. Source

There were way too many ladies in attendance, but here are the ladies whom we liked the most on the red carpet. You can see the rest of the attendees sprinkled through a couple posts (here & here), as well as a bunch of our favorites in today’s Celebrity Catwalks.
Last night U2 and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour hosted a screening of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom at Ziegfeld Theater in New York City. Julie Henderson, Teresa Moore, and Elena Foley made our red carpet Best Dressed list each showing off their individual styles. Julie is wearing a Richard Chai vest, Helmet Lang pants, Alexander McQueen shoes. Teresa is wearing a Silsupa dress matched with Christian Louboutin shoes. Elena is wearing an Olcay Ulsen pant suit with Schutz boots.
As for Mandela, Idris Elba, portrays Nelson Mandela, while Naomie Harris plays Winnie Mandela. Look for it in US theaters on November 29th. Visit Mandela Movie for more information.
Everything with Rihanna was on point last night, but the hair that looked more like one of those turban hats than actual hair somewhat killed it for me. Why do chicks have to screw with shit that doesn’t need screwing? I don’t get it. But then again, Rihanna has a new colored weave every few days, so thankfully, the hairstyle she was rocking last night won’t be around for long.
Rihanna was nominated for four awards and she was also prematurely honored with the first-ever Icon Award. She’s only 25, so she has plenty more #1 hits still to come. According to Wikipedia, producer Larry Klein explained that the “Icon Award was created to honor an artist whose body of work has made a profound influence over pop music on a global level” (Source). There are a number of older artists that come mind who could’ve received it, but I guess that’s how the AMAs got Rihanna to attend and perform. RiRi performed one of her latest hits “Diamonds,” which is just one of her 12 #1 hits. You can listen to a clip below…
(Side note: Why did Bill Maher, of all people, introduce the Rihanna?!)

Mich Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott unveiled her very own collection for Banana Republic last night at a fashionably star-studded party held at Chateau Marmont. We’re really loving Jaimie Alexander these days–especially after she dropped the nuclear bomb-of-a-dress at the ‘Thor’ premiere earlier this month—BUT, where’s the follow-up dress?! You can do it, Jaimie!
Having said that, Jaimie will get my vote on our poll for the foreseeable future simply because she wasn’t scared of fucking shit up on the red carpet like a lot of Hollywood celebs these days. We gotta give her props.

Aside from Jennifer Lawrence at “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” L.A. Premiere”>Jennifer Lawrence, there were other ladies who also stood out on the red carpet, so we gotta give them a shout-out! The $140 million sequel to the 2012 instant hit will make its big premiere in theaters across the U.S. on Friday (Nov. 22), so expect one more glitzy premiere to go down in NYC later this week. We have a feeling Jennifer Lawrence will head far east next to do a few more premieres, probably in Australia, Japan & possibly China, so her she’s not through racking up those frequent flyer miles!!
