We know that Beth Behrs & Kat Dennings aren’t exactly lesbian (at least they haven’t come out yet), but there’s always a chance that they’re bi-sexual or have lesbo-tendencies, so this matchup could still work. I feel like the only advantage Ellen & Portia have in this matchup is the fact that they’re actually lesbians and therefore, more open to life’s freakier side.

The CBS/CW/Showtime Party as part of the Television Critic Association’s Summer Press Tour took place yesterday in Beverly Hills. Here’s just a sample of all the attendees that took part to promote their shows from the respective networks. Some of the new series for this Fall on CBS include The Millers, We Are Men, Mom, and The Crazy Ones. The 48th Annual ACM Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena inside MGM Grand Las Vegas. Co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, the two were nominated for Entertainer of the Year with Luke taking home the award. Miranda Lambert was a big winner taking home Song of the Year, Single Record of the Year, and Top Female Vocalist. To note, Taylor Swift was not amongst the winners. Katy Perry and Audi of America were honored ast Trevor Heroes at the “Trevor Live” at the Hollywood Palladium. Billed as an evening of comedy and music, the event included performances by Anna Kendrick, Naya Rivera, Jessica Sanchez, and Kristin Chenoweth. For more info, visit The Trevor Project website. The amfAR 3rd Annual Inspiration Gala took place last night at Milk Studios in Los Angeles. As you might recall, amFAR is The Foundation for AIDS Research and last night’s event included a live auction and award presentation to Kevin Huvane; no idea who that is, just reporting the facts. The event was hosted by Chelsea Handler (didn’t make the cut for this post) and included a performance from Katy Perry (ditto to her as with Chelsea). For more info, visit the amFAR website.

Beverly Hills: CBS, Showtime, CW 2012 TCA Summer Press Tour Party

CBS, Showtime, and CW also brought out everyone they could for their session of the 2012 Television Critics Association (TCA) Summer Press Tour going on at The Beverly Hilton. Returning shows for next season include CBS’s Two Broke Girls (Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs), Showtime’s Shameless (Emmy Rossum), and CW’s Hart of Dixie (Rachel Bilson and Jaime King). Additionally, new shows this Fall will included Elementary starring Lucy Liu and Beauty and the Beast starring Kristin Kreuk. Additionally, Yvonne Strahovski returns after a brief hiatus following the end of NBC’s Chuck starring as Hannah McKay in a multiepisode arc for Showtime’s Dexter.

Having no knowledge of any of the Tony Awards nominees there’s really not much we can write; however, we do know that none of the ladies posted above were nominated or have anything to do with theater. With that said, a few of the winners from last night were “Once” for Best Musical and Clybourne Park foe Best Play. We only know this because we visit the Tony Awards official website to check out a list of all the winners and decided to mention the first two posted.

CBS had their 2012 Upfronts at The Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City. Some things to report include the debut of four new shows this Fall, including Partners, Vegas, Elementary, and Made in Jersey. A couple of changes to already exiting programing were made having Two Broke GirlsTwo and a Half Men, renewed for a 10th season, to the 8:30pm slot on Thursday nights following The Big Bang Theory. “Television: Out of the Box” is an exhibit at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills celebrating 60 years of Warner Bros. television. Basically it’s for those who’d like to check out artifacts from classic Warner Bros shows like ER, Seinfeld, or even Two and a Half Men. Pay the $10 entrance fee and see George Clooney’s stethoscope from ER; yup, that’ll get everyone to hurry down before the exhibits ends.

The 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards took place last night in Las Vegas. Taking place at the MGM Grand Gardens and hosted by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton, it was Taylor Swift who went home the big winner as she took home the Entertainer of the Year Award. Miranda Lambert won two awards, the Album of the Year for “Four the Record” along with Top Female Vocalist; Blake Shelton won Top Male Vocalist. Another multiple award winner was “Don’t You Wanna Stay” by Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson. Check out the full list of winners here.
