“The great thing about having a bunch of kids is they just remind you that you’re the person who takes them to go poop!”[TotalFilm]

Here’s a confession that will destroy any romantic image you may have of the reclusive Angelina Jolie: she is the one on poop patrol at home. Jolie reveals to TotalFilm.com that her lifestyle is decidedly unglamorous, despite having been in the spotlight for most of her life and the fact that she is engaged to Brad Pitt. We expect this kind of false modesty from a lot of Hollywood bigwigs who really live large, but the woman who once wore her husband’s blood in a vial around her neck? Hmmm. I miss the crazy goth chick who used to make out with her brother on the red carpet.

She also discusses what compelled her to direct her first feature film, In the Land of Blood and Honey: “I didn’t set out to ever become a director or write a script. I was never intending to make a film. I’ve been traveling for over 10 years to these conflict and post-conflict zones, and thinking about what happens to people when they live inside these situations, and how their humanity is just stripped apart … So I wanted to have a meditation on what this is and how people who are neighbours can turn against each other.”

Produced by & starring the one & only Brad Pitt, “Killing Them Softly” is the latest film by director Andrew Dominik. The film, which already has a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is based on the 1974 novel “Cogan’s Trade” by George V. Higgins. It will hit theaters starting Friday, so make sure you bastards don’t miss this bad boy! Definitely sounds like a winner.

Besides Brad Pitt, the deep cast also features Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, and Richard Jenkins. The story revolves around a “professional enforcer Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high-stakes, mob-protected poker game.” (Wiki)

Directly below is some red carpet footage of Brad Pitt workin’ the crowds at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this spring where the film first premiered. Director Andrew Dominik & Ray Liotta also get interviewed in the same clip.

Cannes Film Festival: Red Carpet Attendees @ ‘Killing Them Softly’ Premiere

As expected, director Andrew Dominik’s crime drama “Killing Them Softly” starring Brad Pitt had a star-packed red carpet premiere at the 65th Cannes Film Festival (Tues., May 22). You can read more about the film in our earlier post featuring Brad Pitt & co-stars at a photocall held Tuesday morning.

With respect to the premiere, Irina Shayk was by far the hottest one cat-walk down the red carpet. The person missing in all the action was Angelina Jolie! What’s up with that?! Last year when Brad’s highly anticipated “Tree of Life” premiered at Cannes, Angie was there by his side (see pics here).

Tennis phenom Novak Djokovic was at the premiere with his girlfriend Jelena Ristic. Look for them to hit a couple more events later in the week before Novak heads to Paris for the French Open.

Actor Chris Tucker & his voluptuous girlfriend were surprise attendees. Hey, wasn’t this dude supposed to be broke?! Seeing how he’s in Cannes with a hot piece of ass, I think it’s safe to say that he’s back in the money! OW!

Cannes Film Festival: Brad Pitt @ ‘Killing Them Softly’ Photocall

Photo Credit: Splash News Online; WENN

Today’s featured film at the 65th Cannes Film Festival is “Killing Them Softly,” a crime drama based on the 1974 novel “Cogan’s Trade” by George V. Higgins. The feature is directed by Andrew Dominik & stars the one & only Brad Pitt. As we mentioned before, it’s in competition for the festival’s Palme d’Or award, which coincidentally, another one of Brad Pitt’s films won last year (Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life”). According to it’s IMDb page, the plot centers around Jackie Cogan, a professional enforcer, who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game. “Goodfellas” star Ray Liotta and Richard Jenkins are also among the cast members.

It’s getting great reviews all around, so read a couple at The Hollywood Reporter & Indie Wire.

I’m really diggin’ the film’s official poster:

There’s no official trailer just yet, so we gotta run with the same clip that was released earlier this month:

George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Prop 8 Play Cast Meet their Real Life Counterparts

It was a star studded night to rival the Oscars last night at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Hollywood where George Clooney led an all-star cast in a performance of the Dustin Lance Black’s play “8″ which details the legal fight of the fight against Prop 8 in California to re-legalize gay marriage. Joining Clooney in the performance were Brad Pitt, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Jamie Lee Curtis, Martin Sheen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and many, many more who later consorted with their real counterparts. For those of you who are interested, you can watch the play in its entirety on YouTube at:

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie vs George Clooney & Stacy Keibler: Oscars 2012 A-List Couples Matchup

Photo Credit: Splash News Onlinel; WENN

I love Stacy Keibler just like the next dude, but I feel like this is the end of the road for her & George Clooney. We all know George Clooney is a chronic girlfriend spring cleaner (who can blame him?), so after all the premieres & award shows over the past six or so months, I’m sure he could use a change. It’ll be very interesting to see who he hits up next.

As for Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, both were glowing on the red carpet, as well. We’re going to conveniently ignore the fact that age is slowly creeping into the mix. She’s only 36, but that’s one of the symptoms of adopting eight kids from all over the planet…

‘In The Land Of Blood And Honey’ Paris Premiere: Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt & Zana Marjanovic

Photo Credit: WENN; Pictured: Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, & the star of ‘n The Land Of Blood And Honey’, Zana Marjanović.

For a film that has only earned around $250K at the box-office and had a production budget of $13 million, Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt are certainly promoting ‘In The Land Of Blood And Honey‘ like it’s their latest blockbuster. You can’t really blame Brad Pitt for tagging along to all these premieres b/c let’s face it, any dude in his position would be doing the same thing.

Anyway, I have yet to see the film, but I’ve only read & heard positive reviews. For those of you who don’t know anything about the film, here’s more juice:

The film is set in Sarajevo against the back drop of the Bosnian War that tore the Balkan region apart in the 1990s. The movie tells the story of Danijel (Goran Kostić), a soldier fighting for the Bosnian Serbs, and Ajla (Zana Marjanović), a Bosniak woman he was involved with before the war, and who is now a captive in the camp he oversees. Danijel is serving under his father, a Bosnian Serb army general, when he comes face to face with Ajla again, who is among a group of women forced to be sex slaves for the Serb soldiers. Although they attempt to rekindle their connection, the pressures of war threatens their once promising love. [Source]

Hollywood Royalty: 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards)

Sorry for randomly squeezing in “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland & her soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend Matt Prokop with members of Hollywood royalty, but if Sarah can just play her cards right in the man category, she could fit right in.

As always, George Clooney, Brad Pitt & their respective ladies didn’t disappoint on the red carpet. I want to say that George will finally settle down & propse to Stacy, but we all know what’s up. I have a feeling Stacy Keibler’s time on George Clooney’s all-expenses paid cruise through Hollywood award season is about to end. I’m sure George would’ve ended it sooner, but with all these award shows on his schedule, he needs a respectable +1 on the red carpet, so why not enjoy with Stacy a few more weeks? Plus, how bad could Stacy Keibler sex possibly be?!
