Reese Witherspoon’s DUI kind of overshadowed the whole “Mud” premiere on Sunday evening in NYC, so we wanted to show some love to Matthew McConaughey, his sexy housekee—I mean–WIFE Camila Alves & Matthew McConaughey’s psychedelic suit! You have to be a total pimp in order to rock that thing in public & I think it’s safe to say that the former Stetson model-turned-future Oscar winner fits the bill.

Matthew McConaughey, who’s coincidentally also represented by Reese’s power-agent hubby Jim Toth, plays the lead role in “Mud.” As he walked the red carpet, he was asked about his thoughts on the DUI, but he played it safe by simply saying, “I’m not going to comment on that because it’s too fresh.”

Anyway, here’s more about the film:

Mud is a coming-of-age drama centered around two fourteen-year-old boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Intrigued by this man, they enter into a pact to help him evade capture and reconnect with the love of his life. Though it is hard for the boys to discern truth from fiction when it comes to Mud, it isn’t long until their small Arkansas town is besieged by a beautiful girl with a line of hunters in tow. Source

The 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards held at The Santa Monica Beach last night. Hosted by Andy Samberg, the 28th installment of the event saw Silver Linings Playbook as the big winner, taking home four awards including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Female Lead in Jennifer Lawrence. Macy’s celebrated the 30th anniversary of Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama, the annual fundraising fashion show to raise awareness for the fight against HIV/AIDS. The theme of the event was “British Invasion: The Music Then. The Fashion Now!” and included performances by Karmin and Robin Thicke. In addition the fashion show featured the collections of Bar III, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Kensie, Material Girl, Rachel Rachel Roy, Sean John, Tallia Orange, and the debut of Nicole Richie for Impulse collection, available in selected stores and online September 12th. Given the domestic success of Magic Mike, currently at $75 million in earning against an estiamted $7 million budget, the cast flew across the Atlantic and hit up the UK premiere held at the Mayfair Hotel in London. Apparently they’re working on a concept for a Magic Mike 2 and there’s a Broadway music in the works set to debut next Summer. Yes, all this from a movie about male strippers. Newly married, Brazilian fashionista Camila Alves took her kids, son Levi & daughter Vida, for a walk around NYC. She temporarily tied the knot with longtime partner Matthew McConaughey earlier this June in Austin, Texas.

And finally, we have Sofia Vergara enjoying some good ole luxury shopping with friends in Milan. The “Modern Family” beauty appears to dropping some of her hard-earned cash near the famous Piazza del Duomo.

L.A. Film Fest: Ladies Who Attended “Magic Mike” Premiere

Magic Mike is the upcoming Steven Soderbergh film starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, and Matthew McConaughey as male strippers.
