Camila Alves Continued To Promote Her Baby Food Brand in NYC

As we mentioned in our earlier post, Camila Alves is currently in NYC to do some promotional work for her new Food Network show “Kids BBQ Championship,” which started airing last month.

Along with the show, Camila has also been carrying around & at times sucking on a pouch of frozen baby food called Yummy Spoonfuls. It’s a baby food brand that she co-founded, so I’m assuming Camila thinks moms will see photos of her drinking it and want to buy some for their own babies (and possibly also for themselves). It’s definitely an odd way to market baby food, but it certainly works in generating some buzz—albeit of a slightly confused type.

Here’s Camila Alves catwalking around NYC as she works her promotional mojo in the city. The model, actress and wife of actor Matthew McConaughey was wearing a sexy white dress while leaving Sirius XM offices in Midtown earlier today. Before her Sirius appearance, she was on NBC’s ‘Today’.

She was on the show promoting her new Food Network’s “Kids Barbecue Championship.” She revealed that she’ll be the show’s special correspondent at the Olympics in Rio. Here’s a clip from her appearance:

As she arrived back to her NYC hotel, Camila was seen sucking on a pouch of “Yummy Spoonfuls,” a brand of frozen baby food co-founded by her. We thought this was just a one-off where she was just finishing off a sample, but then later she was spotted out of her hotel rocking another all-white getup featuring a low-cut top and bell-bottom jeans and once again, carrying a pouch of “Yummy Spoonfuls.” I have to admit, this is an interesting way to market a baby product.

The “Interstellar” premiere was held at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine. The film features a team of space travelers who travel through a wormhole in search of a new habitable planet. Limited release is scheduled for November 5th with the wide-release on the 7th. When a wormhole (which can theoretically connect widely separated regions of spacetime) is discovered, explorers and scientists unite to embark on a voyage through it, transcending the normal limits of human space travel. Among the travellers is a widowed engineer, Cooper (McConaughey), who must decide whether or not to leave his two children behind to join the voyage and attempt to save humanity from an environmentally devastated Earth by finding a new habitable planet in another galaxy.

He was in attenance with his Brazilian wife Camila Alves. A long list of A-list stars showed up to honor the actor.

Over the past TEN YEARS (yes, we’ve been around that long!) Jackson and I haven’t seen a matchup that we wouldn’t do. Unlike a lot of other sites, we’ve always loved polls for some odd reason—maybe it’s because the polls take up space and we don’t have to write as much or maybe we’re obsessed with stats? On that note, let’s dive into our polls for today…

Gisele Bundchen: The supermodel mom was seen departing on a flight at LAX with her daughter Vivian. I guess Gisele was spending a little time at her Brentwood castle (complete with moat).

Camila Alves: The 32-year-old Brazilian model and designer was spotted doing her groceries at Pavilions in Malibu. Camila’s having the time of her life as Mrs. McConaughey seeing how she’s hitting up every red carpet event during award season and her hubby might win an Oscar later this month.

Jessica Alba: One of Hollywood’s hardest working moms enjoyed a little family time over the weekend a she and husband Cash Warren took their daughters Honor and Haven to Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills.

Alessandra Ambrosio: The Victoria’s Secret mommy took it very easy over the weekend as she cruised around Brentwood Country Mart. Ale was also spotted taking her son took her son Noah to a family party in West Hollywood.

With a total of six Academy Award nominations, ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ is pretty much guaranteed to have a big night. I have a feeling Matthew McConaughey will score the coveted Best Actor award, although ’12 Years a Slave’ actor Chiwetel Ejiofor is very deserving of the honor, as well.

With the help of all the award-season buzz, the cast including Matthew McConaughey (with wife Camila Alves) and co-star Jared Leto are getting to travel the world in order to do some promotional work ahead of premieres in different markets. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you check it out while it’s still in theaters! Chop, chop!

Camila Alves and Best Actor Matthew McConaughey At The 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards

17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards

With just a week or so away from his anxiously awaited film ‘Dallas Buyers Club‘, I hope Camila Alves and hubby Matthew McConaughey are ready for a seemingly endless trips down the red carpet at upcoming premieres and award shows. On that note, rack one up for Matthew McConaughey because he already one in the Best Actor category at last night’s 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards for his portrayal of Ron Woodroof in the Jean-Marc Vallée-directed drama.

Aside from ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, which hits theaters on November 1, Matthew McConaughey other flick hitting theaters next month is none other than ‘The Wolf of Wall Street‘, which is directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Needless to say, there are some real doozies set for release over the next couple months, let’s see which film will win the hearts of audiences & critics alike as we head into award season.

‘Dallas Buyers Club’ trailer:

Plot (Source: Wiki):

He started taking the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved AZT, the only legal drug available in the U.S, which brought him to the brink of death. To survive, he smuggled anti-viral medications from all over the world, but still illegal in the U.S. Other AIDS patients sought out his medications forgoing hospitals, doctors, and AZT. With the help of his doctor, Eve Saks (Garner) and a fellow patient, Rayon, Ron created the Dallas Buyers Club, one of the dozens which would form around the country, providing its paying members with these alternative treatments. The clubs, growing in numbers and clientele, were brought to the attention of the FDA and pharmaceutical companies, which waged an all out war on Ron.
