AMC’s Mad Men held its Season 6 Premiere last night in L.A. All the main cast members are back for this season with the exception of Jared Harris (Lane Pryce) while Ben Feldman (Michael Ginsberg) was promoted to series regular. If you recall, Season 5 focused on Don Draper’s new marriage to Megan, which leads him to ignore his work at the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce advertising agency. Christina Hendricks was amongst the attendees of the AFI Fest 2012 screenings of Ginger and Rosa and Zaytoun. Zaytoun is an Israeli film starring Stephen Dorff while Christina stars as Natalie (Ginger’s mother) along with Elle Fanning (Ginger) and Alice Englert (Rosa) in Ginger and Rosa. The film premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and has already been released in the UK. No word on a US release.

The Peace Over Violence 41st Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner was held at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills over the weekend. Started by feminist activists, the organization is a sexual and domestic violence, stalking, child abuse and youth violence prevention center headquartered in Los Angeles and dedicated to building healthy relationships, families and communities free from sexual, domestic and interpersonal violence. The event is a fundraiser that helps “honor the work of those who have impacted our field, the lives of survivors and the community at large in innovative, compassionate, and groundbreaking ways.” For more info, visit the Peace Over Violence website.
