Just like they’ve done for the past few years, ‘Mad Men’ actress Christina Hendricks & actor hubby Geoffrey Arend hit the red carpet together at the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards last night. Sadly, Christina’s husband was once again overpowered by his wife’s ginormous rack, but can you blame the poor guy? Aside from his crazy hair (completely understandable since he probably spends most of his day motorboating Christina), Geoffrey Arend has very little going for him (that we can see, of course).

AMC’s Mad Men held its Season 6 Premiere last night in L.A. All the main cast members are back for this season with the exception of Jared Harris (Lane Pryce) while Ben Feldman (Michael Ginsberg) was promoted to series regular. If you recall, Season 5 focused on Don Draper’s new marriage to Megan, which leads him to ignore his work at the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce advertising agency. The two-hour season premiere is scheduled for Sunday, April 7th at 9pm. For more info, visit Mad Men at AMCTV.com.
Christina Hendricks was amongst the attendees of the AFI Fest 2012 screenings of Ginger and Rosa and Zaytoun. Zaytoun is an Israeli film starring Stephen Dorff while Christina stars as Natalie (Ginger’s mother) along with Elle Fanning (Ginger) and Alice Englert (Rosa) in Ginger and Rosa. The film premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and has already been released in the UK. No word on a US release.
London, 1962. Two teenage girls – Ginger (Elle Fanning) and Rosa (Alice Englert) – are inseparable. They play truant together, discuss religion, politics and hairstyles, and dream of lives bigger than their mothers’ frustrated domesticity. But, as the Cold War meets the sexual revolution, and the threat of nuclear holocaust escalates, the lifelong friendship of the two girls is shattered – by the clash of desire and the determination to survive. For those of you bastards who follow these red carpet events, you’ll know that Christina Hendricks is a staple on the Hottest Low-Cut Dress list, but she had some thirst quenching competition on the Emmys red carpet! Say hello to Zooey Deschanel (“New Girl”), Kat Dennings (“2 Broke Girls”) & Morena Baccarin (“Homeland”). I’m all the ladies, but I feel like Kat Dennings wins this red carpet showdown.
Sarlet J. Mendel is the genius designer behind Kat’s dress, so major props to her. Other designers: Zooey’s wearing Reem Acra, Christina’s stuffed inside a Christian Siriano-designed dress, & lastly, the sultry Morena is wearing Basil Soda.
In addition to the Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party, Variety and Women in Film had their Pre-Emmy Event Presented By Saint Vintage held at Montage in Beverly Hills. So there really isn’t much else different we can write since all these events are related to the Emmys so we’ll just do our same plug stating… that the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air tonight with coverage starting at 7pm ET on ABC with live red carpet coverage. For more info and a list of all the nominees, visit Emmy.tv. And now, onto the poll.
