Here we have winner from the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, okay with the exception of Lea Michele sneaking her way into this post. Anyways, to recap: Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Les Miserables, and Modern Family lead the way with 4 nominations each. Jennifer Lawrence added to her trophy case taking home the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Silver Linings Playbook while Claire Danes won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for Homeland. Sofia Vergara and Sarah Hyland were apart of the group that won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for Modern Family while Michelle Dockey was apart of the group that won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for Downtown Abbey. Check out a full list of winners and for more information, visit the SAG Awards website.
As expected, the Emmys red carpet fashion wasn’t exactly something worth screaming about from a hotness standpoint (thank goodness for all the after parties!), but we did notice that a handful of celebrities favored bright yellow when choosing their respective dresses. Although flashy, I gotta admit, this option is definitely more exciting than the usual nudes, blacks, & greys.
Photo Credit: Pacific Coast News It was accidentally revealed on Twitter over the weekend by celebrity swimwear designer Melissa Odabash that she was going through fabrics for the “Claire Danes Princess Diana movie” before deleting the comment almost immediately. Sounds like one of those nicely engineered leaks by the marketing department. Before this weekend’s leak, it was rumored that Naomi Watts would play the role.

Few things are as magical as watching celebrities walk their dogs, right? Okay, maybe not, but we still enjoyed the sight of Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy walking their little furry black friend out in the streets of Manhattan yesterday morning. Dog experts that we are, we think their pup is a half Poodle, half Maltese. And of the three, the dog looks the most content, we must say.
Rihanna set aside all her normally freaky clothes & looked absolutely beautiful in a fuchsia dress on the glamorous red carpet at the 8th annual TIME 100 Gala celebrating its 100 Most Influential People in the World. The event was held earlier this evening (April 24) at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Lincoln Center in NYC.
The edgy pop sensation, who makes her cash exploiting her inner-freaky side by acting like a sex-crazed machine, performed at the gala alongside the wildly talented Raphael Saadiq. Odd pairing, but maybe there will be a crazy spark? YouTube clip to follow later…

Admittedly a fine young lady and talented Golden Globe Award winning actress, Claire Danes just might be in need of a fashion intervention. She showed up last night at the premiere of the HBO series Girls in New York City looking like she was auditioning to reprise Jim Carrey’s role as The Riddler in Batman. Donning some kind of green and black oddity that we assume is supposed to be a dress, it looked as though it was pieced together by a group of angry leprechauns. Sorry, Claire: we love you on TV, but you gonna have to try harder on the red carpet!

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party along with the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party are the two parties outside of the actual Academy Awards show that are heavily attended so therefore a lot of photos to view. Expect an overload so we’re breaking these posts up into several parts and don’t expect much witty banter within the posts because well, there’s not much to report aside from “here are some attendees”. If you haven’t already seen, here are the complete list of winners from last night’s 84th Annual Academy Awards.
With the safe & boring & slightly disappointmenting outfits behind us, let’s turn our attention to those beautiful women who applied tremendous amount of thought & creativity (even if it was purchased creativity) to their final look without committing red carpet fashion suicide.
Whether the outfits were as simple as choosing a great color or finding that perfect fit to help showcases delicious curves, I felt like the women in this category displayed excellent taste from head to toe. I was on the fence about Dianna Agron b/c I felt like the artwork on her dress detracts attention from her beautiful face, but at the end, I give her props for thinking a little outside the box. Have your take on these outfits below…
