I just can’t shake off the fact that yesterday Taylor Swift, of all people, was appointed New York’s Global Welcome Ambassador.
Really? Out of all the New York-based celebs, they chose Taylor Swift?! And, the thing that cheapens the whole appointment even more is the fact that it perfectly coincided with her album release. The only positive development is that this appointment should lead to plenty of comedians making fun of the young singer (once she’s finished promoting her album, of course).
Personally, I’m digging the dressed down look, but that’s mainly because I’m not a big fan of her dress. Former ‘Twilight’ actress Rachelle Lefevre made an appearance on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ to promote her Steven Spielberg-produced CBS series ‘Under the Dome‘. The series is based on a novel of the same name by Stephen King.
Selena Gomez is back in the states for the US leg of her Stars Dance tour. While we won’t remind you of her falling down during her recent show in Virginia, she will be performing across the country in various locations when the tour wraps up on November 27th in St. Louis for a total of 58 shows. Hit up Selena’s website for tour information and VIP packages. Here she in on the Late Show performing “Slow Down” where there were no falls or (unfortunately) wardrobe malfunctions.
Okay fine, we’re posting it…quality is not the greatest and the fall is brief (around 3:25 mark) but here’s all the fuss…
Not a huge fan of the hair, but I’m really digging the rest of the package—regardless of how small it is! Actress Hayden Panettiere arrived on the Late Show with David Letterman wearing a dangerously short dress that she says looks like ‘stained glass’ (a really slutty version, of course). The 24-year-old ‘Nashville’ star talked about her romantic vacation with heavyweight boxing world-champion boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko.
She was on the show to promote her second season of the hit ABC musical drama series ‘Nashville’, which premieres on September 25. Check the show’s official website for exclusive footage from the upcoming season.
Here’s a clip of the interview:
Here’s some video footage of Hayden arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC:
The beautiful Olivia Munn made a fashionable appearance on ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ last night to talk not just about her hit HBO series ‘The Newsroom’, but also about her recent travels to Prague where she visited her boyfriend Joel Kinnaman (this is the dude who scored the lead role of Alex James Murphy/Robocop in the upcoming 2014 remake of 1987’s RoboCop).
Olivia showed this crazy video of her swinging inside her apartment in Prague (yes, the apartment had a frickin’ indoor swing) and subsequently falling off the swing when one of the ropes snapped. Judging by the video, she’s lucky she only suffered bruises, dislocated her shoulder & hurt her hip. I wonder if that apartment is on Airbnb? Hmm…
Olivia Wilde, who’s busy promoting her latest film ‘Drinking Buddies‘ in NYC, was seen catwalking home after grabbing lunch at Cafe Cluny in the West Village yesterday afternoon. The actress showed off her sense of humor by rocking a PAWS t-shirt, which, of course, is a funny take on ‘Jaws’.
Later in the day, Olivia got glammed-up & headed for a taping of ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ show at the Ed Sullivan Theater in midtown. Olivia walked in wearing a white dress & walked out in a green number—looking equally beautiful in both outfits! Watch a clip of the interview below:
We should mention that her new film ‘Drinking Buddies‘ hits theaters this weekend. The film also stars Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston. Here’s some plot action:
Kate (Olivia Wilde) and Luke (Jake Johnson) are co-workers at a Chicago craft brewery, where they spend their days drinking and flirting. They’re perfect for each other, except that they’re both in relationships: Kate is with Chris (Ron Livingston), and Luke is with Jill (Anna Kendrick). Jill wants to know if Luke is ready to talk about marriage. The answer to that question becomes crystal clear when Luke and Kate unexpectedly find themselves alone for a weekend.[Source]

NOTE: I swear, it’s purely coincidentally that we’re following up a Justin Bieber tat post w/ a Selena Gomez ‘Letterman’ post. Completely unplanned and yet another example of our sad & pathetic state of affairs.
First & foremost, would be a complete stretch to throw those boots in the F-Me Boots category? The papz is labeling them as knee-high gladiator heels. Selena Gomez is wearing a cropped black trench that’s giving the whole outfit a very sexual aura or maybe I’m just reading way into it?
And also, even though Selena got into a little trouble over the bindi she was rocking at the MTV Movie Awards, she’s continuing to wear one, albeit the one she wore to letter is a little less noticeable.
Anyway, after appearing on ‘Letterman’ just last month to promote “Spring Breakers,” this time around Selena hit the late night show to promote her new single Come & Get It.
Along with Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Snoop Dogg/Lion, Mike Tyson, & Usher, Lindsay Lohan scored a role in “Scary Movie 5” by appearing as herself—better than nothing, right? I guess the film’s producers wanted to further exploit Lindsay for their own benefit. Judging by her somewhat crazy-looking smile in a few of the pics, we’re gonna assume Lindsay was thoroughly drugged-up in preparation for the appearance.
