The Rodeo Drive Walk Of Style honoring BVLGARI took place last night with Drew Barrymore presenting Mr. Nicola Bulgari a Robert Graham-designed torso statuette and the city’s mayor reading an official proclamation declaring December 5th, 2012, “Bulgari Day.” Previous honorees Giorgio Armani (who received the first award in 2003), Valentino (2009), retailer Fred Hayman (2011) and, most recently, the late Diana Vreeland. Drew Barrymore @ “Going the Distance” Premiere

Drew Barrymore stars as Erin opposite Justin Long in Going the Distance. Basically the story is about a long-distance relationship between NY and SF. The film opens September 2, 2010.

As for Drew, she’s been busy promoting the movie and went off on one reporter who was bugging her about her troubled past including her drug addiction.

“You should have heard this b**ch I had to do an interview with before you. God, I wanted to punch her, she would just not drop the youth thing. I have no problem talking about it. I am not someone who is ashamed of my past. I’m actually really proud. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but they in turn were my life lessons.

“It’s actually good to get it done young and have a great life later. But yeah, man, I wanted to rip this woman’s face off. She just would not shut up about it.” Source

No worries, we’ll keep this short simply b/c Justin Long annoys the shit out of me. For those of you bastards who’re getting the stinky “this movie sucks ass” vibe, give yourself a pat on the back! Here’s a somewhat amusing excerpt from a Hollywood Reporter review:

Going the Distance” is, in a way, a remarkable film: It’s hard to imagine any romantic comedy going wrong in so many different ways. There almost seems to be a contest going on for worst scene, worst character, most cringe-inducing moment and most awesomely bad line.

Star Drew Barrymore, a fine actress and above-average filmmaker, must have ambivalent feelings about this film, which is certain to bomb anyway. The fewer people who see this New Line/Warner Bros. release when it opens on August 27, the easier it will be to erase all memory of it.[Source]

Drew Barrymore & Steven Spielberg @ “Whip It” L.A. Premiere

These were snapped a couple nights back at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Nearly three decades after doing “E.T.” together, director Steven Spielberg & Drew Barrymore hook up on the red carpet of “Whip It,” a new movie which is directed & co-produced by Drew Barrymore herself & hitting theaters this tomorrow.

After looking up online reviews, I noticed a lot of people are digging this movie. Rotten & Meta Critic both rate it very favorably, so this one might just be worth checking out—assuming you’re not into the other releases: “The Invention of Lying,” which is produced & directed by the hilarious British comedian behind “The Office,” Mr. Ricky Gervais or “Zombieland” with Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone & Amber Heard. Whatever the case, Drew Barrymore is up with some tough competition, but her name might just do the trick in scoring big at the box-office.
