Just like the 15 other premieres over the past few days, “Twilight – Breaking Dawn 2” held a fashionable screening at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in lower Manhattan. The event was hosted by The Hollywood Reporter & Samsung Galaxy in conjunction with The Cinema Society, so it’s nice to see the film is raking in some cash from other avenues besides just selling tickets at the box-office. The numbers haven’t come in yet, but the ‘Twilight’ finale will probably set a few records before it’s all over. Yay for all the producers who just got a little bit richer. Bastards.

So, did anybody catch the movie last night or what? In the name of creating useless filler, we’re obligated to ask…

As if you already didn’t know the plot…

After being brought back from near-death by Edward after childbirth, Bella begins her new life as a vampire and mother to their daughter, Renesmee. But when Irina, a member of the Denali coven, misidentifies Renesmee as a immortal child, a human infant who has been bitten and transformed into a vampire, to the Volturi, they set out to battle and destroy the Cullens for their betrayal. In a final attempt to survive, the Cullens begin to gather foreign Vampire clans and nomads to stand and witness against the Volturi, including the Denali, the Amazonian, the Egyptian, the Irish and Romanian Covens, with European and American nomads. With their allies, the Cullens and the Wolf Pack stand to prove their innocence to the Volturi once and for all. [Wiki]

Hundreds of looney, diehard fans skipped school & work to camp outside in a tent city near the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles ahead of the big film premiere for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” I never understood how somebody can convince themselves to do stupid things like camping out for a frickin’ movie? Are they that obsessed? One thing everyone learned for the experience was that the LAPD will condone a tent city for an upcoming movie premiere, but they’ll resort to brutally trashing similar tent cities built by people protesting against the social issues. Great value system, right? Everyone together: “USA! USA! USA!

On a more positive note, it’s about fucking time this series ended and society as a whole can finally move on from the vampire & werewolf bullshit onto some other crap. What’s on tap, anyway? Whatever the hell it is, let’s just hope & pray that there’s better acting and the leads aren’t as depressing as Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson. Actually, Robert Pattinson is somewhat tolerable, but it’s Kristen Stewart who annoys the shit out of me. For the sake of quality film making, Kristen’s career falls apart over the next 12 months. Let’s face it, the girl simply can’t act if her life depended on it!! I guess all that directors & producers can see in her is name recognition & the likelihood that she’ll give them a nice a blowjob & possibly a few nights of no-strings-attached sex. Then again, I think that’s the hope w/ every hot actress in Hollywood?

Let’s turn to the some plot action b/c I’m sure there’s at least one person out there who’s still clueless about how this thing will end:

After being brought back from near-death by Edward after childbirth, Bella begins her new life as a vampire and mother to their daughter, Renesmee. But when Irina, a member of the Denali coven, misidentifies Renesmee as a immortal child, a human infant who has been bitten and transformed into a vampire, to the Volturi, they set out to battle and destroy the Cullens for their betrayal. Comic-Con 2012: “Twilight” Cast Members Attack For One Last Time!

PICTURED: Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Maggie Grace & Taylor Lautner

Ahead of the final “Twilight” film release on November 16, ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′, the hotter members of the cast hit a photocall held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel as part of the Comic-Con 2012 festivities.

The annual conference, featuring more than just geeks in their favorite superhero costumes, officially kicked off on Thursday (July 12) and will run through this Sunday (July 15). These years, Comic-Con is as much Hollywood action flicks as it is old-school comic books, so if you can attend the event, make sure you check it out! At least it forces hot, famous chicks to fly into typically bland & boring San Diego, so major props to the army of Hollywood marketing execs who make it all happen!

L.A. Red Carpet: Charlize Theron & Others @ “Young Adult” Premiere

Charlize Theron stars as Mavis Gary in the Diablo Cody-written & Jason Reitman-directed film “Young Adult.” Charlize already visited Letterman & attended a premiere in NYC to promote her new film, so check those pics here. Besides that, the film is getting great reviews from critics & audiences alike, so it’s definitely worth dough if you’re looking to not waste time on other cookie-cutter affairs at the theaters. Rotten has it at 82% and Metacritic currently stands at 73, with audiences rating it 9/10.

Here’s more info about the film:

Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either. [Source]

These were snapped at last night’s “Young Adult” premiere at the Zigfield Theater in NYC. Charlize Theron, who stars in the film, was also at the premiere. The film is getting great reviews all around w/ a 74% rating at Metacritic & 77% at Rotten Tomatoes. I think I’ll be checking it out this weekend.

The film, which is directed by Jason Reitman & written by Diablo Cody (of “Juno” fame), is out in theaters now. Here’s more juice:

Ladies Who Attended Day One of Comic Con 2011 in San Diego

Comic Con kicked-off yesterday in San Diego and looks like the big deal of the day was the cast of Twilight, most notably the ladies for this post; Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Julia Jones, and Elizabeth Reaser, stopping by to plug the new movie, Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 1. Additionally though, Amanda Seyfried was there with Justin Timberlake to promote their upcoming movie, In Time, and Carey Mulligan did some promo work for Drive.

The other ladies who attended that are apart of this post probably attended to either promote their own projects or get some face time in front of the camera. Either way, we gotta make sure we give you all complete coverage as Comic Con runs through Sunday. For complete info on the weekend’s events, hit up the San Diego Comic Con Internatioanl official website.
