For somebody who was just presenting and promoting her upcoming blockbuster ‘Noah’, I think Emma Watson looked fine, but a lot of people felt Emma played it way too safe on the red carpet. For those of you who missed it, here’s what she wore:

Ok, on second thought, she did play it very safe. Emma has a reputation of thinking outside the box and surprising everyone, so for her to show up wearing a dress from Macy’s simply didn’t have the same effect. Don’t worry too much about Emma because she’ll be on the red carpet plenty of times over the next few weeks promoting ‘Noah’, which hits theaters on March 28. The Darren Aronofsky-produced & directed film stars Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, and Jennifer Connelly. Check the trailer below:
Since she wasn’t nominated for anything, Emma Watson didn’t allow her stylists to think completely outside the box (which is a good thing from time to time). She got the opportunity to walk the red carpet at the Oscars so that people would talk about her upcoming film ‘Noah’ (releases March 28). With that said, here’s the film’s trailer:
These pics were snapped on Friday evening (Feb. 28) as Emma Watson was all-smiles as she arrived on a flight at LAX.
I don’t know if she’ll be on the world-famous red carpet, but I’m pretty sure we’ll see Emma Watson hitting up the after-party circuit attempting to rub shoulders (and possibly more) with the right Hollywood bigwigs. I still think this chick hasn’t been properly utilized by Hollywood following her ‘Harry Potter’ stint, but considering she’s only 23, there’s plenty of time left for her to grow!
Aside from celebrating the Oscars, Emma will also do some promotional work for her upcoming blockbuster film ‘Noah‘, which will hit theaters on March 28. Along with Emma, the film’s A-list cast includes Russell Crowe in the lead as Noah, Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Ray Winstone. The film is co-written, produced & directed by Darren Aronofsky, so expect this film to be huge with critics and audiences alike.
Emma Watson’s lucky she has those crazy-sexy “I’m gonna tear you to shreds” poses she does by turning her back to the cameras and gazing over her shoulders. You can tell this chick has spends a long, long time in front of the mirror practicing because she looks absolutely flawless. Unfortunately, we can’t the say same about her dress from designer Giambattista Valli Couture, but we’ve come to expect risk-taking by Emma on the red carpet. To our non-fashion-industry-eyes, this dress looks like it would be a nice black gown that’s turned into a mini dress by creating a bow effect using the excess fabric—or something Emma would do to her dress if she wanted to take an emergency wee-wee behind the bushes.
I hate to say this, but this look works beautifully for Emma. She’s always thinking outside the box and willing to experiment, unlike 95% of celebs who walk down the red carpet, so props to her for doing it once again. From the front, the dress looks pretty average, but it’s when Emma turns her back to the cameras where she catches people off guard.
Even though Emma looked just fine, we couldn’t help ourselves, so we used our elementary Photochopping skills to see how Emma would look if she had gone with just the red gown minus the black slacks. Let’s just say the results are very interesting…
These were snapped earlier today as the always-fashionable Emma Watson was spotted doing some shopping in Central London. The young 23-year-old actress kept things very simple with a cape & knee-high leather boots.
Emma Watson’s next big film is ‘Noah’ writer, director & producer Darren Aronofsky. Let’s not forget that he was behind films like ‘Requiem for a Dream’, ‘The Wrestler’ & ‘Black Swan’, so look for this one to make a big splash with critics, as well. The film, which is scheduled for a March 28, 2014 release, stars Russell Crowe (as Noah), Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Ray Winstone. Emma scored the role of Ila, Noah’s adopted daughter. Check the film’s trailer below…
The beautiful Emma Watson, who’s notably absent from Paris Fashion Week, blessed the ‘Gravity‘ film premiere in NYC last night. The $80 million film, which initially premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, will hit theaters this Friday (October 4).
We’ll see Emma grace the big screen next March when she stars in writer, director & producer Darren Aronofsky’s latest project ‘Noah’, which also stars Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins and Jennifer Connelly. Considering Darren Aronofsky was behind such respected films like ‘The Wrestler’ (director/producer), ‘Black Swan’ (director/producer) and ‘The Fighter’ (executive producer), expect his latest effort to be equally praiseworthy when audiences & critics alike get their first nibble.
As for ‘Gravity’, I’m really looking forward to checking this one out! I also have a feeling this will get a lot of love when award season rolls around early next year…
Normally she has impeccable style, so we’re assuming Emma Watson’s regular stylist is American and simply away on an extended Labor Day vacation.
In her stylist’s untimely absence, it appears Emma simply got her personal assistant/slave to hit up the London Balenciaga store & ask for their freakiest (and most expensive) outfit to be sent over.
Even though some of you fashionistas might want to make love to this outfit, as a connoisseur of what makes women look & feel sexy, I gotta admit, this outfit does absolutely nothing for Emma or for all the straight dudes look at her. If anything, it makes her look slightly boyish—which is never a good thing.
