Not that we’re saying that these are the leftovers but here’s one more bunch of attendees to walk the red carpet at the 2012 American Music Awards last night in L.A. So to recap, Justin Bieber won all three of his nominations, including Artist of the Year, Nicki Minaj won two, and Rihanna, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Taylor Swift each took one award home each. For more info and the complete list of winners, visit 40th Anniversary American Music Awards at ABC.com. Check out the rest of our coverage from the 2012 American Music Awards.
The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards went down last night with an underwhelming showcase of red carpet beauty & glamour. Favorite moments had to be Jimmy Kimmel as the host, Kat Dennings hitting the stage to present her rack to the masses at home & I particularly enjoyed the few seconds Ricky Gervais appeared on stage to present his award. His humor isn’t for everyone, but he always manages to steal a laugh from me.
Once again, ABC’s “Modern Family” ran away with a boat load of awards, so congrats to the lucky cast & crew for their continued success. Let’s face it, we could all use a some of that successful series cash! It’s a pity they’re getting screwed on their paycheck b/c even though they’re now getting paid $175K per episode (up from $65K last year), I still think they should’ve fought for more. Doesn’t CBS make upwards of a billion from the series?! $175K is seriously chump change.

Entertainment Weekly & ABC TV teamed up to celebrate the New York Upfronts with a VIP cocktail party at PH-D at Dream Downtown in New York City last night. On hand were a bunch of the ladies from various ABC shows including Hayden Panettiere who will star alongside Connie Britton in the upcoming series Nashville. The series was just picked up and will debut this Fall on ABC.

Here’s a little more info on Hayden’s series Nashville:
The series stars Connie Britton as Rayna James, a legendary country music superstar, whose star begins fading. Her producers offer her a joint tour with the up-and-comer Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), the young and sexy future of country music. But both singers are pursuing their goals. Juliette wants to take the place of Rayna. [Wiki]
Okay, we get that Ginnifer Goodwin is an elfin princess who’s as cute as a pixie and was probably Tinker Bell in a past life. But she might be taking this whole “fantasy-fairy-tale” persona of hers a bit too far. Take a look at her dress at the White House Correspondents dinner last night where she was accompanied by Josh Dallas: she looks a bit too much like Snow White, if you ask us. Not that she looks bad (far from it, really) but perhaps she ought to step out of the story book once in a while.
Sir Paul McCartney and daughter Stella held a private party at her boutique in L.A. to premiere his new video for “My Valentine” off the new album “Kisses on the Bottom”. The music video comes in three versions starring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp seperately and cuts of both them in the version below. As you can see, this was a rather A-List group of celebrities that came out for the premiere of a music video but we guess that when it’s a former member of The Beatles that’s more of a draw.

The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco hosted last night’s 2012 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. Was it just coincidence that many of the winners happen to be CBS-related? Let’s see, Favorite Network TV Comedy: How I Met Your Mother which also parlayed Neil Patrick Harris winning the Favorite TV Comedy Actor and Favorite TV Guest Star for Katy Perry’s appearnace. In addition, the two new favorite TV shows for both Drama and Comedy, CBS’s Person of Interest and 2 Broke Girls, respectively. We know that these awards don’t really mean much, but we’re just saying…
We already know that Sarah Hyland was in attendance as she made up for the Modern Family contingency. As for the new series, this Fall will debut Charlie’s Angels starring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, and Annie Ilonzeh along with Pan Am, Work It, Apartment 23, and Scandal.
