This will pretty much complete our slow coverage of the MET Costume Institute Gala. I’m sure we missed a lot of gems, so we’ll run through various sets once again later this evening and have a final post. The glamorous gala comes only once a year, so it’s worth spending a little extra time on it.
With respect to the ladies in this post, I have to say that Taylor Swift was a major disappointment. I can’t tell if she was playing it really safe or if she was shooting for a more mature look? Selena should’ve just stayed home because her dress looked like something you could buy at Macy’s. Alicia Vikander proved that she’ll look cute & sexy in anything, while Demi Lovato was wrapped a gilded frame around herself. And finally, Emma Watson could do much better considering her daring looks on the red carpet.
Wait, are those see-thru or is that just an optical illusion? I feel like she paired the sheer pants with nude undies—or at least we hope that’s the case. Wow, the powers that be are really trying to pimp Hailee Steinfeld hard to the masses and I’m not sure it’s working too well. I guess we’ll see how her upcoming movies do at the box-office.
Anyway, these were snapped earlier today at the star-studded event by STX Entertainment as part of CinemaCon at The Colosseum of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

In the spirit of the age-old saying, “better late than never,” we’re finally posting up our favorites from the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. If we had to choose whether to post only red carpet photos from the actual ceremony or photos from the various after-parties following the awards show, I’d obviously choose the latter.
The overall theme of the outfits can be summed up with the statement “Look, but don’t touch—unless your name is Leonardo DiCaprio.” I know a lot of chicks probably wouldn’t admit it to it, but with the amount of pre- and post-buzz surrounding that guy’s Best Actor Academy Award, he could’ve seriously gone home with any number of women last night. We’re pretty sure he didn’t follow through, but we’re about 110% sure some of his close friends cleaned up with all the chicks who had lofty aspirations of texting all their friends the sentence, “I had sex with Leo the night he won the Oscar for Best Actor.”
These latest photos were snapped last Friday night at Billboard’s 10th Annual Women In Music event held at Cipriani’s 42nd Street in NYC.
First the good news: I think it’s safe to say that there are people behind the scenes in Hollywood who want this Hailee Steinfeld chick to be a really big star one day and I think they’re doing a wonderful job in accomplishing this goal. The 19-year-old is becoming an expert at looking sexy while keeping things very classy. Second on our list is Ciara. She’s pretty much back to working her A-game on the red carpet after popping out rapper Future’s son last year. Ciara has since kicked her baby-daddy to the curb and shacked up with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
Now, let’s roll out the bad news: Once again, we have to comment on Gaga. We don’t know what the hell is wrong with her face, but it just doesn’t look like Gaga anymore. She’s slicing and dicing herself to Trannyville and that’s never a good thing.
And finally, what’s up with Selena’s old-lady wig?! I’m sorry, but that’s the opposite of sexy, Selena. I think it’s time to step outside your little bubble and get unbiased opinions from people who aren’t on your payroll or already worshiping you. Incentive-caused-bias is a bitch!

The overriding theme of the outfits was the usual—legs, butts & dangerously low-cut tops, so there was really no big surprise. With that in hand, we’re highlighting the leggy outfits from last night that caught our eye. Make sure to choose your favorite in the poll below.

Let’s keep in mind that Hailee Steinfeld is the 16-year-old in these pics, but if you go strictly the outfits, you might think 23-year-old Taylor is the younger of the two chicks. And, all this time we thought Taylor had sold off her extensive collection of little girly dresses and was focusing her attention on looking sexy. I guess it all comes down to perception at the end of the day. Taylor is in the business of writing songs for tweens, while Hailee’s doing her best to look far older than her age. I’ll be honest, they’re both doing a pretty good job at fooling everyone.
As for the PG-13 rated film, the cast includes Hailee as Juliet, Douglas Booth as Romeo, Damian Lewis as Lord Capulet, Paul Giamatti as Friar Laurence, Ed Westwick as Tybalt, just to name a few. You’re telling me that Hailee Steinfeld couldn’t find another film in all of Hollywood so she chose to do the 200th version of ‘Romeo & Juliet’? I guess when you’re 16, you can’t really sign up for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey‘, right? Since Hollywood can’t freely exploit her, they’ll just slyly push the limits by using an age-old Shakespearean vehicle about two lovers. Ingenious.
‘Romeo and Juliet’ will hit theaters on October 11.
Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare’s epic and searing tale of love, is revitalized on screen by writer Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) and director Carlos Carlei. An ageless story from the world’s most renowned author is reimagined for the 21st Century. This adaptation is told in the lush traditional setting it was written, but gives a new generation the chance to fall in love with the enduring legend. With an all-star cast including Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth, Paul Giamatti and Stellan Skarsgard, it affords those unfamiliar with the tale the chance to put faces to the two names they’ve undoubtedly heard innumerable times: Romeo and Juliet. Every generation deserves to discover this lasting love. Source
