FOX’s New Girl had an event in conjunction with The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences held at The Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood. The second season is about to come to a close with two remaining episodes including the season finale scheduled for May 14th. The show has been renewed for a third season which will premiere this Fall. The Children’s Defense Fund’s 22nd Annual “Beat the Odds” Awards was at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The event introduced the audience to five Los Angeles high school students whose stories of strength and triumph server as an inspiration to all. Michelle Monaghan started the ceremony with remarks, Conan O’Brien presented Richard Kent of Belmont High School his award; Reese Witherspoon presented Yahydia Iñiguez of Helen Bernstein High School in Los Angeles her award; Elisabeth Shue presented Roneisha Pugh of St. Mary’s Academy in Inglewood award; and Zoe Saldana and Trey Thompkins presented fraternal twins Jade and Jalen Woods of Frederick K.C. This is the second batch of photos in our two-part series from last night’s GQ Men of the Year party held at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. From a hotness standpoint, I gotta say that the first batch is a little better, but Diane Kruger, Krista B Allen, Hannah Simone & Jessica Pare aren’t exactly ugly ducklings by any means.
