Some of the auction items included two sets of tickets to join Sir Elton John and David Furnish at the Vanity Fair party that sold for $150,000 each; five days at Steven Tyler’s Hawaiian retreat for $250,000. Sir Elton John also auctioned off four private performances by himself that went for $250,000 each, totaling $1 million. For more info, visit the Elton John AIDS Foundation website.

So the event to be at last night was the 2013 Miss Golden Globe Awards hosted by the HFPA and InStyle at Cecconi’s restaurant in West Hollywood. However, the actual honoree of “Miss Golden Globe” didn’t make this megapost of attendees. Francesca Fisher-Eastwood was named Miss Golden Globe 2013. It’s traditionally the child of a famous person that wins the honor. Basically her job will be to escort the winners on and off the stage at the Golden Globe Awards next January. For more info and to see the nominees when they’re announced December 13th, visit the Golden Globes website.

A long list of up & comers were on hand at Variety’s 6th Annual Power of Youth Event held Paramount Studios in Hollywood yesterday afternoon. With the fall premiere season upon us & the 2012 Emmy Awards next week, look for countless more parties over the next couple weeks helping to create buzz & of course, raise money for charity! Designed to celebrate the joy of sharing their millions with the needy, the event gives young stars an opportunity to learn more about philanthropy, while also enjoying entertainment and activities.
Here’s more about this year’s event directly from Variety. We found the final statement somewhat perplexing for obvious reasons:
This year’s event will honor the Jonas brothers, Vanessa Hudgens, “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland, Jordin Sparks, “Vampire Diaries” star Kat Graham and Diego Boneta. They join previous honorees including Justin Bieber and Shailene Woodley.
The cast of Cartoon Network’s “Level Up” will host this year’s event, which will feature a musical perf by Graham.
Each honoree has chosen a philanthropic org to spotlight: Change for the Children Foundation (Jonas brothers); the George Lopez Foundation (Hyland); the Water Project (Graham); Make a Wish (Hudgens); Child Help (Sparks) and the Vannie E. Cook Jr. Children’s Cancer & Hematology Clinic (Boneta).
Variety publisher Brian Gott says young stars are carefully vetted to make sure they genuinely embody a philanthropic spirit and serve as a role model for the fans that look up to them.
So, they actually vet each attendee to make sure they haven’t done anything in the past that would make them a negative role model for young fans?! Really, Variety?

Not along the lines of prestige as the 2012 Met Costume Institute Gala is the “NYLON Magazine Celebrates The Annual May Young Hollywood Issue” party that took place last night at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. After taking a look at the attendees who would you say is the headliner of the bunch that is actually recognized by atleast 40% of the readers that come here; granted 40% means maybe 8 of the 20 that can actually connect excluding myself and Moe. Missing from the event was Victoria Justice who apparently appears in a photoshoot for the May issue, you can view those photos here. Anyways, keep scrolling, check out your favorites and naturally we have our obligatory non-scientific poll at the end.

Look for it in theaters on January 20th.
You can immediately question the credibility of this Hollywood Style Awards Sponsored By Smashbox knowing that The Jenner Sisters, Kylie and Kendall, were presented with the “Stylish Sisters” award by Khloe. Other awards included a “One To Watch” Trophy to Chloe Moretz along with a photographer of the year, hair stylist of the year, stylist of the year, and boutique of the year. Yeah, there’s really not much else to write about it.
