It’s a real pity because ‘Scandal’ Kerry Washington wore a dress that had “I have a great Emmy acceptance speech ready to go” written all over it, but I guess all those snobby voters felt Claire Danes should get her second Emmy in a row for Outstanding lead actress in a drama series. Boohoo! No worries, Kerry! You’ll get it next year!
Don’t forget to catch the ‘Scandal‘ season 3 premiere on October 3 on ABC (10/9c).
The paparazzi’s Maria Menounos Booty Cam was in the mix once again yesterday afternoon as the “Extra” hottie interviewed actress Kerry Washington. The beautiful actress, who most recently starred in last year’s Oscar winning “Django Unchained,” was on the show to promote her new comedy “Peeples.”
The Tyler Perry-produced film also stars the hilarious Craig Robinson. Check the plot & trailer below:
Sparks fly in the Hamptons when “regular guy” Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the preppy Peeples family reunion to ask for their precious daughter Grace’s (Kerry Washington) hand in marriage. Wade might be a fish out of water among this picture-perfect East Coast clan always trying to keep up appearances, but he’s not about to let himself sink. Instead, in a wild weekend of fun, dysfunction and hilarious surprises, Wade is about to discover there’s room for all kinds of Peeples in this family, no matter their differences. [Source]
And, since we don’t have her interview w/ Maria, let’s watch a press junket with Kerry & Craig Robinson:

Whoever is telling Kerry Washington that she looks great before she walks out of the house looking like this is definitely not her friend. God damn, Kerry!! Looks like somebody needs to hire a new team of stylists!
Yes, there was something else besides the 2012 VS Fashion Show that took place in celebrity world. The BAFTA Los Angeles 2012 Britannia Awards Presented by BBC America was held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. As you can see, the two Skyfall Bond Girls, Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris made an apperance for more promotional work leading up to Skyfall opening in US theaters on November 9th. As for teh awards, Daniel Craig was (obviously) named British Artist of the Year. Hosted by Alan Cummings, other awards were handed out to Daniel Day-Lewis, Quentin Tarantino, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

Believe it or not, but the 2013 Hollywood awards season has officially kicked off! A bunch of Hollywood A-listers got together at the Beverly Hilton last night during the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala.
This was probably an event where bunch of rich, good looking people came together to kiss each other’s asses & praise their respective films all in the hopes to impress the right person & score one of those elusive Oscar nods in the process! We’ll see what’s up in the coming months as
Here’s our second batch of ladies that’ll probably garner up a few “Who?” responses. A lot of newcomers here that we’ll let you hit up the Wiki to learn more but at least you know that they appear on one of the family of ABC networks.
Be sure to check out the first set of ladies who were in attendance at Disney ABC Television’s “TCA Winter Press Tour”.
With regards to fashion, it appears as if a lot of primetime ladies played it safe & favored the color red as they strutted their goods on the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre last night in Los Angeles. We were hoping for slightly more daring outfits, but I guess we’ll have to wait for the 2012 award season to roll around in January to see what else these women have to offer.
As for awards, Emmy ceremony host Jane Lynch summed it up beautifully when she returned from commercial with, “Welcome back to the ‘Modern Family’ awards!” The show bagged numerous wins including Emmys for best comedy, first-time wins for Julie Bowen Ty Burrell in the supporting acting slots, as well as Emmys for directing and writing. Many congrats to the cast & crew for keeping the cash cow moo’ing along beautifully!
