Django Unchained is the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson. The film opens Christmas Day with music by Rick Ross and John Legend. For more info, visit the Django Unchained official website.

Django (Jamie Foxx) is a slave living in the Deep South after having been separated from his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington). When Django is held for a slave auction, Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a German bounty hunter who uses his former profession as a dentist as a cover, frees Django from his vicious masters, the Speck brothers (James Remar and James Russo), and gives him the option of helping him hunt down and kill the Brittle Brothers, a ruthless gang of killers whom only Django has seen. In return, Schultz will free Django from slavery completely and help find and rescue Broomhilda from the brutal but charming Francophile Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), who owns Candyland, a plantation where male slaves are trained to fight for sport and female slaves are forced into prostitution. Irina Shayk & Julianne Hough

First of all, what the hell was Irina Shayk thinking when covered herself in that low-cut white blanket?! For a woman with such impeccable taste on the red carpet, she really nuked her latest appearance at last night’s special screening of ‘Rock of Ages‘. Irina, please don’t tell me you’re going the Brooklyn Decker route in your promotional efforts? We can only hope that’s not the case.

The “Rock of Ages” promotional tour has officially kicked off and will probably heat up next week ahead of the film’s wide-release on June 15 (next Friday). For those of you who don’t know, the musical film, which is set in the glam metal era of the 1980s, stars country singer Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta, along with an ensemble cast including Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Åkerman, Bryan Cranston, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige (source). Check the star-studded trailer below:

NYC: Amber Heard & Johnny Depp @ “The Rum Diary” Premiere

Photo Credit: Pacific Coast News; WENN

Following various other premieres Johnny Depp & his hot, lesbian-flavored co-star Amber Heard were the MoMA in NYC last night for a Playboy-sponsored premiere for their for latest film. I’m pretty sure some marketing peeps at Playboy are somewhat bitter that they still have to host the party even though Amber’s NBC show “The Playboy Club” only lasted three episodes. The network decided to axe the show due to shitty ratings.

Anyway, as we’ve been drilling into you bastards, Amber Heard stars alongside Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary, a film based on the novel by Hunter S. Thompson. Naturally, most women would kill for the opportunity to share love scenes with Johnny Depp, but taking into consideration Amber’s lesbian status (not that there’s anything wrong with that), I’m sure it involves a lot of painful acting. It’s rumored that in order to successfully pull off such steamy scenes, Amber psyched herself into thinking that she’s wrapped around Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox as opposed to Johnny Depp.

Look for the film in theaters on this Friday (October 28t). For more info, visit The Rum Diary official website.

Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp) is an itinerant journalist who grows tired of New York and America under the Eisenhower administration and travels to Puerto Rico to write for the San Juan Star. Kemp begins the habit of drinking rum and becomes obsessed with a woman named Chenault (Amber Heard). [Wiki]

Kiera Chaplin @ "Elegy" Screening In NYC

Elegy: Death Becomes Them

But that said, this is a good, serious and absorbing movie — especially, perhaps, for a reviewer who is roughly Kepesh’s age and, of course, eagerly evading the issues his story forces up. Death in the movies usually presents itself as the end of a bullet’s path. Or, alternatively, in an inspiring deathbed scene, where the victim appears to be suffering no more than a bad case of la grippe. It’s important to see the threat of death as predictably unpredictable, another fine mess we heedlessly fall into. And that Elegy does very powerfully. TIME
