Since it’s Tuesday, I’m assuming most of you guys have already watched the season premiere. If not, please stop reading here as there will probably be a lot of spoilers. With the spoiler disclaimer behind us, I want to say that ‘The Walking Dead’ is one of the few shows that I still keep up with on TV. I also recently started watching HBO’s “Westworld,” but that was only the first episode (it looks very promising, to say the least).
So what was everyone’s take on the premiere this past Sunday? It was obviously a very gruesome episode by design, and I have to admit, I’m already looking forward to Negan’s painful death at the end of the season (assuming that’s what happens). The thing I don’t like about ‘Walking Dead’ for the past couple seasons is that the series begins to drag after the second episode and then picks up steam when we have one or two episodes left in the season. Also, they really need to give more clarity on what the hell is going on with the virus and whether there’s any light at the end of the dark, zombie-infested tunnel?

The 2016 Film Independent Spirit Awards went down the night before the Academy Awards and a long list of celebs were on hand to walk down the blue carpet in Santa Monica Beach. The seemingly laid-back (compared to the Oscars) ceremony was hosted by Kate McKinnon and Kumail Nanjiani.
One interesting thing worth noting about Saturday’s Spirit Awards was that it was free of “The Revenant”—not even a single nomination (for the record, the film “Spotlight” took top honors)! I guess the producers of the event wanted to shower other films with accolades as opposed to simply marching to the drumbeat of the Oscars. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, we took the weekend off, so we didn’t get a chance to feature any pics from the 2013 Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend. Just like recent years, Comic-Con is turning more & more into a Hollywood-sponsored film festival featuring upcoming action flicks based on various comic book series, as well as sci-fi projects. Enjoy all the pics in the gallery >>>

Here’s my favorite photo of Scarlett from Comic-Con…
What’s up with these Brits on ‘Walking Dead’ fooling all of America with their southern accents? As some of you guys might know, the series’ lead character Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimmes) is also British. Anyway, Lauren Cohan, who portrays Maggie Greene on the show, was on Kimmel the other night & I thought it was a great interview, especially if you’re a ‘Walking Dead’ fan.
