Yup, if you like seeing Liam Neeson save the day all over again, Hollywood sequel machine is currently cooking up ‘Taken 3′ and judging by the box-office trend, we might be seeing a fourth and fifth film, assuming Liam Neeson isn’t wheelchair bound by then, of course.
We should note that the first two films in the series have earned roughly $600 million and considering the combined production budget for the films was $70 million, that’s an amazing return for the big-dogg-producers.
As for Maggie Grace, let’s hope this latest script calls for a vacation scene featuring Maggie showing off her bikini body. A bedroom scene would also go a long way in keeping die-hard ‘Taken’ fans entertained.
The annual television festival 2014 PaleyFest is currently going down in Los Angeles, which included a “Lost” 10th anniversary reunion over the weekend at the Dolby Theatre. I know we already featured her in our daily Catwalks, but seeing how she was the hottest one at the event, we had to shine a spotlight on the unappreciated actress. Needless to say, Hollywood producers & directors need to get their act together and cast this chick for upcoming blockbusters! I don’t care if she’s 30 already, damn it! She looks exactly

Non-Stop is the upcoming film starring Liam Neeson where he saves the day, this time playing the role of a US Marshall on a flight from New York to London. The film also stars Julianne Moore, Michelle Dockery, Anson Mount, Lupita Nyong’o and Scoot McNairy. Look for it in theaters on February 28th. Visit Non-Stop for more information, including showtimes.
The film takes place on an international flight from New York to London. During the flight, U.S. federal air marshal Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) receives a series of threatening text messages, stating that a passenger will be killed every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred into a secret bank account. When the bank account is discovered to be under Marks’ name and a bomb is found aboard the plane, Marks is branded as a hijacker. [Wiki]

The Roundabout Theatre Company’s Spring Gala was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night. Produced by & starring the one & only Brad Pitt, “Killing Them Softly” is the latest film by director Andrew Dominik. The film, which already has a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is based on the 1974 novel “Cogan’s Trade” by George V. Higgins. It will hit theaters starting Friday, so make sure you bastards don’t miss this bad boy! Definitely sounds like a winner.
Besides Brad Pitt, the deep cast also features Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, and Richard Jenkins. The story revolves around a “professional enforcer Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high-stakes, mob-protected poker game.” (Wiki)
Directly below is some red carpet footage of Brad Pitt workin’ the crowds at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this spring where the film first premiered. Director Andrew Dominik & Ray Liotta also get interviewed in the same clip.
Just like the 15 other premieres over the past few days, “Twilight – Breaking Dawn 2” held a fashionable screening at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in lower Manhattan. The event was hosted by The Hollywood Reporter & Samsung Galaxy in conjunction with The Cinema Society, so it’s nice to see the film is raking in some cash from other avenues besides just selling tickets at the box-office. The numbers haven’t come in yet, but the ‘Twilight’ finale will probably set a few records before it’s all over. Yay for all the producers who just got a little bit richer. Bastards.
So, did anybody catch the movie last night or what? In the name of creating useless filler, we’re obligated to ask…
Hundreds of looney, diehard fans skipped school & work to camp outside in a tent city near the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles ahead of the big film premiere for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” I never understood how somebody can convince themselves to do stupid things like camping out for a frickin’ movie? Are they that obsessed? One thing everyone learned for the experience was that the LAPD will condone a tent city for an upcoming movie premiere, but they’ll resort to brutally trashing similar tent cities built by people protesting against the social issues. Great value system, right? Everyone together: “USA! USA! USA!
On a more positive note, it’s about fucking time this series ended and society as a whole can finally move on from the vampire & werewolf bullshit onto some other crap. What’s on tap, anyway? Whatever the hell it is, let’s just hope & pray that there’s better acting and the leads aren’t as depressing as Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson. Actually, Robert Pattinson is somewhat tolerable, but it’s Kristen Stewart who annoys the shit out of me. For the sake of quality film making, Kristen’s career falls apart over the next 12 months. Let’s face it, the girl simply can’t act if her life depended on it!! I guess all that directors & producers can see in her is name recognition & the likelihood that she’ll give them a nice a blowjob & possibly a few nights of no-strings-attached sex. Then again, I think that’s the hope w/ every hot actress in Hollywood?
Let’s turn to the some plot action b/c I’m sure there’s at least one person out there who’s still clueless about how this thing will end:
After being brought back from near-death by Edward after childbirth, Bella begins her new life as a vampire and mother to their daughter, Renesmee. But when Irina, a member of the Denali coven, misidentifies Renesmee as a immortal child, a human infant who has been bitten and transformed into a vampire, to the Volturi, they set out to battle and destroy the Cullens for their betrayal. In a final attempt to survive, the Cullens begin to gather foreign Vampire clans and nomads to stand and witness against the Volturi, including the Denali, the Amazonian, the Egyptian, the Irish and Romanian Covens, with European and American nomads. With their allies, the Cullens and the Wolf Pack stand to prove their innocence to the Volturi once and for all.
