Brad Pitt Gives Media The Finger By Appearing On Red Carpet With Marion Cotillard

The big rumor is obviously that Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard got a little too close while filming their latest film “Allied”—so close, in fact, that Marion is rumored to be carrying Brad Pitt’s baby. Marion quickly put those dirty rumors to rest by stating she’s happily married to her husband of nine years Guillaume Canet. I feel like Brad attempted to do the same thing by appearing for the film’s premiere last night at The Regency Village Theatre in Westwood. Or who knows, maybe it was Brad’s therapist’s idea that he quickly return to the normal flow of his career or else life will be extremely rough following his divorce with Angelina Jolie. It’s anyone’s guess as to what exactly led to the divorce, but I just hope it wasn’t some sort of singular event that caused Angelina to hit the eject button on marriage. When you have that many kids, I think it works to their advantage to have the parents work through issues, regardless of size.

Apologies for diving so deep into the Brangelina gossip. Now let’s turn our attention to his latest film, “Allied”:

In 1942 North Africa, Canadian intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) meets French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a secret mission behind enemy lines. The couple reunites in London and get married, eventually having a child together. Their relationship is strong and normal but becomes threatened by the brink of war, as Vatan is presented with the possibility that Beausejour is a sleeper spy working for the Germans. Vatan is then placed under considerable pressure to kill Beausejour himself or to be executed for failing to obey orders. Convinced of her innocence, he sets out on a very dangerous mission to clear her name.[2][3][4][5]

The 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival - 'Two Days, One Night' - Photocall

Does this woman ever age? She’s a 38-year-old mother of one and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. The beautiful actress was seen working her style in a leggy dress at a photocall for her new French-language film ‘Two Days, One Night‘. According to the film’s Wiki, it’s a “story of a woman who together with her husband tries to convince her colleagues to renounce their annual bonuses in order for her to keep her job.” The film is in the running for the Palme d’Or in the main competition section at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

CANNES: Marion Cotillard Lookin’ Beautiful At ‘The Immigrant’ Premiere

Marion Cotillard looked absolutely beautiful walking the red carpet at “The Immigrant” premiere alongside her co-star Jeremy Renner & the film’s director James Gray. Joaquin Phoenix is also one of hte main stars in film, but I guess he’s busy working on another project since he didn’t show up for the premiere. He doesn’t seem the glitzy type anyway, so I’m sure he didn’t mind skipping out. The Weinstein Company scored distribution rights, so look for the film to compete for awards in early 2014.

Here’s more about the film:

1921. In search of a new start and the American dream, Ewa Cybulski and her sister Magda sail to New York from their native Poland. When they reach Ellis Island, doctors discover that Magda is ill, and the two women are separated. Ewa is released onto the mean streets of Manhattan while her sister is quarantined. Alone, with nowhere to turn and desperate to reunite with Magda, Ewa quickly falls prey to Bruno, a charming but wicked man who takes her in and forces her into prostitution. And then one day, she encounters Bruno’s cousin, the debonair magician Orlando. He sweeps Ewa off her feet and quickly becomes her only chance to escape the nightmare in which she finds herself. Interview w/ Marion Cotillard:
The big challenge for you, who didn’t speak Polish, was obviously the language?
When I want to make a movie, I focus on the beauty of the story and the character,
that’s why I didn’t panic immediately! Then I had to start working, and it got tough.
There is not a single word that sounds like English or French in Polish. And yet
I had no choice. I had to do everything I could to speak Polish without the hint of an
accent. I had very little time, just over a month between Rust and Bone (Jacques
Audiard, 2012) and The Immigrant . I worked with different coaches, one of whom
was the actress who plays my aunt in the film. Mid-shoot, James came to me,
startled, and said: “You sure have a lot of Polish dialogue!” He had just realized that
he had written me twenty pages of Polish dialogue. Whenever I had a free minute
on the set, I buried myself in my notebook. “I dreamed of it being perfect.”

James Gray and Joaquin Phoenix have made four movies together. How did you find your place?
I certainly got mixed up with an old couple! They’re both very generous and
endearing. Sometimes, when I saw that they were going to keep talking for five
hours, I’d tell them: “See you tomorrow! It sounds fascinating, but I have a kid and I
have to get home.” Their working relationship is wonderful to observe. And Joaquin
is an impressive actor. We met every day before the shoot started, to discuss our
characters. That’s when I met him for the first time. He has impeccable instincts,
like a wild animal. The character of Bruno was difficult for him, he struggled a
lot, and it was very moving to see him fighting with himself. Sometimes, at the
end of the scene, he would come up to me and ask me to forgive him for what
his character was doing to mine. I had never met someone quite as touching.

Not the best display of red carpet fashion, but maybe we’ve been spoiled by Doutzen Kroes from over the weekend?

Aaah, to be Alex Baldwin’s sugar baby wife Hilaria Thomas! She seriously went from Yoga instructor to one day hitting the damn lottery—all thanks to tight yoga pants & a horny Alec Baldwin! The couple officially married June 2012 & before tying the knot, Alec treated Hilaria to her very first Cannes Film Festival—maybe even her first trip to France, for all we know. HA. During their latest trip to the land of luxury, Hilaria is a few months pregnant and set to give birth sometime later this summer / fall. Sadly, we have a feeling it’s all downhill after that…

As for the other ladies in attendance: Definitely not a big fan of Milla Jovovich’s dress. As for Marion Cotillard, this woman will look cute & beautiful wearing pretty much anything.

I think it’s safe to say the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who nominates & presents the awards at the annual Academy Awards is seriously regretting not including Ben Affleck as a Best Director nominee for the upcoming awards. Somebody powerful on the committee obviously holds a grudge against Ben (or maybe even Iran), but I think he could careless considering he has won at pretty much every other award show this season. Once again, Ben Affleck & his directorial debut film “Argo” took home the top prizes at the 66th British Academy Film Awards, winning both Best Film & Best Director honors. Let’s hope he & wife Jennifer Garner make sure they use protection when have having sex later tonight back at their luxury hotel in London.

Other notable winners included Daniel Day-Lewis and Emmanuelle Riva receiving awards for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively and continuing her own award season streak, Anne Hathaway scored Best Supporting Actress honors. Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor for his tremendous work in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” And last but not least, “Skyfall” was named Best British Film. If you bastards haven’t watched any of the films, you have a lot of screen time ahead of you.

Personal Favorites (direct link to each gallery): Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Gemma Arterton & of course the pimp duo, George Clooney & Ben Affleck
