Reese Witherspoon’s DUI kind of overshadowed the whole “Mud” premiere on Sunday evening in NYC, so we wanted to show some love to Matthew McConaughey, his sexy housekee—I mean–WIFE Camila Alves & Matthew McConaughey’s psychedelic suit! You have to be a total pimp in order to rock that thing in public & I think it’s safe to say that the former Stetson model-turned-future Oscar winner fits the bill.

Matthew McConaughey, who’s coincidentally also represented by Reese’s power-agent hubby Jim Toth, plays the lead role in “Mud.” As he walked the red carpet, he was asked about his thoughts on the DUI, but he played it safe by simply saying, “I’m not going to comment on that because it’s too fresh.”

Anyway, here’s more about the film:

Mud is a coming-of-age drama centered around two fourteen-year-old boys who encounter a mysterious fugitive hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Intrigued by this man, they enter into a pact to help him evade capture and reconnect with the love of his life. Though it is hard for the boys to discern truth from fiction when it comes to Mud, it isn’t long until their small Arkansas town is besieged by a beautiful girl with a line of hunters in tow. Source

We’ve all been following Matthew McConaughey’s near-frightening transformation into to his character for his upcoming film ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, but don’t leave Jared Leto out the transformation convo!! The 40-year-old “American Psycho” star was spotted on the set in New Orleans in full drag as she filmed scenes alongside co-star Matthew McConaughey. The film also stars Jennifer Garner, but judging by her recent candid photos, she isn’t going through any sort of crazy physical transformation (that we can notice).

I would love to get Camilla Alves‘ take on her hubby’s change of physique. Let’s face it, Matthew McConaughey looks like a completely different person than the one we’ve watched run around shirtless in pretty much every other film in his career. It’s pretty fucking crazy, to say the least.

For those of you who don’t know much about the upcoming drama, here’s some plot action:

Loosely based on the true-life tale of Ron Woodroof, a drug taking, women loving, homophobic man who, in 1986 was diagnosed with full blown HIV/AIDS and given thirty days to live. He started taking the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved AZT, the only legal drug available in the U.S, which brought him to the brink of death. To survive, he smuggled non-toxic, anti-viral medications from all over the world, but yet still illegal in the U.S. Other AIDS patients sought out his medications forgoing hospitals, doctors and AZT. With the help of his Doctor, Eve Saks and a fellow patient, Rayon, Ron unintentionally created the Dallas Buyers Club, the first of dozens which would form around the country, providing its paying members with these alternative treatments. The clubs, growing in numbers and clientele, were brought to the attention of the FDA and pharmaceutical companies which waged an all out war on Ron. “DBC” follows Ron Woodroof’s personal fight to survive which lasted 2191 days when he died on September 12, 1992, six years after he was diagnosed with the HIV virus.

Matthew McConaughey Thins Down For Upcoming Film “The Dallas Buyer’s Club”

Matthew McConaughey may have looked perfectly buff and chiseled in this summer’s male stripper hit Magic Mike but he’s certainly working overtime now to look anything but stripper perfect. Check out the latest photo of him snapped just days ago outside of a New York City hotel where he looks almost shockingly gaunt and rail skinny. McConaughey has lost 30 pounds thus far for his upcoming role as Ron Woodroof, a Texas electrician who was diagnosed with AIDS in 1986, in the upcoming film Dallas Buyer’s Club.

McConaughey recently told Larry King, “I should not look healthy by the time I’m doing (the role). I just kinda dared myself. I haven’t been this light since I was in the ninth grade. I’m kind of looking at it as sort of a cleanse, it’s a bit of a spiritual cleanse, mental cleanse. I’m drinking a lot of tea, and things like that.”

First of all, isn’t it kinda dangerous for a pregnant woman to be running around an extremely rocky area near the ocean? They say salt water is good for expecting women, but at what cost?

These latest photos were snapped yesterday afternoon as a noticeably slimmer Matthew McConaughey was seen enjoying a vacation with his pregnant wifie in luxurious Ibiza, Spain. Camila is expecting the couple’s third child, so we’ll see how many more they wanna pop out in the coming years. We should also mention that the couple had some A-List company during their stay w/ rockstar Bono and his wife Ali Hewson joining the party.

As for his thinning figure, the “Magic Mike” star is set to star in the upcoming film “The Dallas Buyers Club” in which he plays a man with HIV who smuggles life-saving drugs across the Mexican border after contracting the disease during the 1980s. If recent reports are true, he plans to lose around 30 pounds for the role. God damn.

Matthew McConaughey’s Baby-Momma Camila Alves Shows Off Her Engagement Ring!

Recently engaged couple Matthew McConaughey & his Brazilian-flavored baby-momma, Camila Alves, were in Sao Paulo yesterday for the big opening of the upscale men’s fashion store, Noir, Le Lis. Matthew McConaughey is featured in one of the company’s ad campaigns, so he’s probably on one of those all-expenses paid “business” trips. Did I mention how much life sucks?

Anyway, while getting their photos snapped, Camila made sure she pimped her new engagement ring! It appears she finally convinced the normally-shirtless star to consider tying the knot following a long relationship. I have a feeling M.Mc is in for a big surprise with married life. The stigma attached to the aging institution simply doesn’t suit celebrities—especially those ones who’re famous for running around shirtless 98% of the time. When you’re in a unmarried, long-term “partnership” & fuck around on the side by accident (drunken nights, film shoots in exotic destinations 1000s of miles away, etc), you can use the “we’re not married” card, but when everything is set in stone, you leave yourself vulnerable on numerous levels (emotionally, financially, etc).

In other news, Matthew McConaughey is set to star alongside Woody Harrelson in an upcoming series “True Detective.” The series is currently being shopped around to various cable outlets. It will be Woody Harrelson’s first stint on TV since his days as Woody Boyd on “Cheers.” Here’s more from The Hollywood Reporter:

The duo would star as detectives Rust Cohle (McConaughey) and Martin Hart (Harrelson) whose lives become entangled while searching for a serial killer in Louisiana.

The project is being eyed as a potential eight-episode first season with following seasons replacing the cast and story — a similar format that FX has employed for its freshman hit American Horror Story from Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. [Source]
